Got a good deal on Groupon for a VAX carpet cleaner with attachments so decided to give it a go on the car seats. Hoovered the inside first then set about it with the VAX:

Thanks!

They ideally need a full strip and power but this will do for now.

I'll give it a few days for the paint to harden then it'll be a clean and wax for mine.

Wow nice job. What paints did you use?

I used Hycote paint.

After a really good degrease and clean I rubbed down any problem areas as best as it would, then:

2 coats of white primer inside rim and face.
2 coats of silver on the inside rim and 3 on the face.
3 coats on clear on the face

Came out okay, a little darker than stock but looks nice.

Replaced passenger side window winder lifters and cabling mechanism (After the original cheap plastic lifter snapped and caused my cable to get chewed up ) . Used the £10 eBay repair kit and fixed myself rather than the £50+ assembly with brackets.
Straight forward job but fiddly especially stretching the final bit of cable over the last pulley wheel but done and working ( yes I replaced the seal with butyl too )

Have you got a link for the repair kit?
