Ibiza FR 1.4 EcoTSI ordered

Well had a call from the Dealer and its had a massive delay - 33 weeks!! (November Minimum) Was gutted!
But dealer had found me one that's literally at the port now in Midnight Black with the same specs minus spoiler which they are going to fit so should be delivered sooner!!
But just a heads up any new orders are 30+ Weeks apparently as the Engine is very popular and they've effectively run out of them

33 weeks is just ridiculous - if mine changes to beyond April then I will cancel the order and get something else.
Good news on the already built one though - should be a couple of weeks at most.
There was an issue back in August of last year when I had mine ordered.

Was this ordered direct with a dealer or via a broker?
Yeah that's the only reason apparently they'd run out of the 1.4TSI ACT engine's and are waiting for more to be produced

Contemplating going for the 1.2 TSI if needs be as I think the Ibiza is one of the best in it's class and looking at options elsewhere there really isn't much out there.
Throught the Seat Dealer mate, my original order was Emotion Red then they called about the Issues and luckily had another car in the same spec but Parking Sensors instead of the camera and In Black so was Ridiculously lucky to get it to be honest

Hi Mick - how long did you wait from ordering to delivery ? I'm becoming increasingly sceptical that my order will go smoothly!
Given you have only had it for 3 weeks it may be difficult to answer this but what is the midrange performance like ie 30-50 and 50-70?
Hi Mark, ordered it on 29th Sept with a wait of 8 to 10 weeks expecting delivery before Christmas. It was delivered mid January and I picked it up on 27th Jan so longer wait than originally quoted.
Mines a 5 door in monsoon grey with Alcantara seats,Satnav, rearview camera so wife can see what shes about to reverse into.Performance wise its only done 500 mls so far so its not had much cosh yet but feels nice and torquey pulls well from 1500 revs upwards.
Ill let you know how its going as it loosens up, but so far am very impressed with it.

Sounds like a sweet motor and car mate
you got any pics of the inside at all? Just curious to how they look compared to previous models as they are supposed to be a big step up Just had update from dealer - status has changed to 'with production order' which according to him means it will be entering production shortly. It's then a three week wait for delivery to dealer. Looks like I've been lucky and secured a 1.4 Ecotsi engine......
