Great - thanks! What car do you currently drive then?

Coming from a Corsa VXR Racing edition, so a bit down on power but still looking forward to it! Did you spec any other options on yours? I wanted climate control but the wait was too long.

No other options - I needed something with decent level of power fairly quickly as I originally wanted to keep my current lease car a Merc A Class A200 CDI but on reflection the monthly outlay was a cost that I wanted to save some money on so hence the Ibiza - my Merc is full of squeaks and rattles and only just two years old. The engine on it is fantastic though - mid range is superb.

Looking forward to the Ibiza though and the Carplay integration with my iPhone looks good.

When did you order?

markm49uk, have you had any further updates on your order? No new updates for me :(

I've emailed SEAT but they take ages to reply!

Not since the print from my dealer showing the build week confirmed - build week is next week so then I should be getting it week of 4th April all being well, fair wind etc etc.

Strange,

Mine was built last week and I'm told it should be with my dealer by first week in April...some timings seem out here!!

Pictures? How is the new car?

Not got it yet! I meant Wednesday the 16th!
Does anyone know anything about the extended warranty? I've read somewhere the old time you can buy it is when the car is new not after the standard warranty is nearly up, this true?

I believe an extended factory warranty can be purchased before the car is registered. I want to extend mine to 4 years. I think that will cost about £200, however as said it needs to be purchased BEFORE the car is registered.

After it's registered its an aftermarket (albeit SEAT branded) warranty only I believe...

Thanks for the reply. Thats an odd way of doing it, when the 3yrs ran out on my Corsa VX sent me a letter to extend with them.
its £209 for 4 years or £359 to 5. Not sure if its worth it as I probably won't keep it more than 3 years but could be easier to sell with the warranty.

Doh! Usually an extended warranty has to be taken out before the car is registered - this gives the same level of cover as the original 3 year warranty.

A warranty taken out at the end of your standard warranty unfortunately does not offer the same level of cover as the standard one - bit like these extended warranties you see from the RAC etc. Lot's of things not covered.

Odd, my Corsa one was direct from Vauxhall and was just an extension of the standard warranty. Looks like I'll have to pay up when I pick it up then!
