Fitted my sensor, 5 min job, and auto wipers working just fine. Not sure if I'm going to splash out on the auto light switch as I do not have VCDS and you can leave the switch on dipped beam and they go off with ignition so this time if year not much call for full auto.

Has anyone managed to source a genuine Seat auto light switch off ebay with the red back lighting or are they all VW units?

Hi all,

My sensor arrived from Spanish ebay today so I'm going to attempt to fit it. Does anyone know the cheapest place to get a switch? The Leon ones seem hard to come by.

Then I will need to track someone down in the Hampshire area to do the coding :D

Thanks

Me Too! mine also should have arrived from spanish ebay today and i'm also after a light switch. Seat quoted £160 for the switch (they wanted £140 for the sensor).

Also after someone with a vcds and some magic in southampton but willing to travel....

If anyone does get the proper switch with red illumination, I'd be grateful if the part no could be posted up so if any do come up on ebay we can at least buy with confidence that we've got the right part.

My switch has arrived but I'm not sure if I should test the lighting colour without having the switch coded as I don't want to cause any lighting errors!

Now I need to find someone to code it :)

I've found a lot of rain sensors for a VW Golf 7 but with a different part number 8U0 955 559 B & another with 5O0 955 559, has anyone used either of those part numbers? Both say they are Rain, light and humidity sensors.

The wipers do work automaticaly as soon as you start to drive so no problem.
