Ah so you reused the original rivet clips. I ordered those others before I saw your second post, lol

No nothing broke I reused the original rivets, they are made from a soft plastic. The ones I bought of eBay were too big.

You just lever up the centre of the plastic rivet. They are made from soft plastic and do not break. I reused mine as the ones I bought of eBay were too big.

The only other thing holding the grille in are the four latches on the inside edge of the grille one each behind the top corners and two along the bottom

I think the Austrian seller who sold me my badged grille also sells a badgeless insert. I guess these are aimed at people with the 2012+ facelift Exeo, who I believe get the honeycomb grille as standard:

Thats looks like its from a breaker - for only a few quid extra you can get it new which I'd do (and did!)

Agreed. Went new for mine and fitted last night. Looks good. I did however manage to break the old one At least is wasn't the bumper.

I would recommend that anyone doing this invests in some ebay/amazon cheap trim puller plastic tools, only couple of quid and come in handy when pulling plastic bolts etc
