Factory in Spain now in shutdown for there "summer holidays" not open again until Sept so id imagine any orders going in now will take a hit of atleast a few weeks ontop of the usual ordering time!

You did well. When I had black line selected I was told build week 38 and I ordered at the end of April. So I changed you multi spoke wheels and it was built week 29.

I ordered the same time with no problems with black line...seems a different story told by the dealers every time!

Yeah.... I am astounded at their lack of knowledge or perhaps interest. Or may be you got the last set of wheels in Europe!

I've been told my car has build week 48 and internal docs says that Cupra 290 is from week 49, and was advised not to ask for the 290 cause then I might end up last in line and delivery way, way past January
And I guess bw48 will still be delivery late Dec at best? Ordered first week in June.
The only update except for 290ps is that the AM band disappears from the radio.

Been told by SEAT UK just now that standard wheels are approximately 19 week wait now, so better than the 32 I was quoted a fortnight ago.

I have just placed an order for a Cupra 280 ST DSG in Midnight Black with Full Black Leather, Winter Pack, Nav System High, Full Link, SEAT Sound System and Panoramic Sunroof.

Very excited about it, got a cracking deal through Lifestyle in Eastbourne which I found on CarWow. The only disappointing thing is having to wait until Mid-January to take delivery of it!! I went for the standard wheels which has caused the long lead times but I think they make the car look more understated.

I owned a 2009 S3 Sportback DSG and 2010 Golf GTI previously and loved them both. Was seriously considering a new S3 but the 0% finance deal and price from Eastbourne was too good to resist! It seems like a lot of car for not a lot of money!

You will not regret it!! Had mine 2 weeks now and it's absolutely superb...lovin the sunroof and glad I added it. Lifestyle were fabulous and very helpful and were spot on with delivery dates. Also worth ringing seat customer services a few months down the line to get a more accurate timescale.

Congrats. Change the wheels to get a better delivery date. How can you wait that long?

Another more important point. The Bridgestone tyres are ****. They have too little traction. Change the fronts for Michelin Pilot Sports. Much much better.

Any reason for using Eastbourne and not Brighton? I have used carwow, offers come from Brighton. What sort of discount did you get?

I was told last week that the standard wheels are 19 weeks which needs adding to standard 12 week build so that pushes towards the 30 week.

Got told there's a delay in standard seats too, but that might be the one we know about from some time back.

I have been given an estimated delivery of 15th Jan but as the factory is closed for August they can not confirm until it reopens next week. Fingers crossed it moves forwards... My company car goes back to the lease company in November!

I'm not sure I can wait that long but to be honest I prefer the standard wheels. I love the look of the others but find them a bit too much in your face.

I went with Eastbourne because they gave me a 12% discount. Best out of all of the other offers. I live about 3 roads away from West London Seat but they said they couldn't get close to that and could only offer 3% and 12% was just too hard to ignore. Brighton never made an offer.

That's exactly what I got...my local dealer was not interested in the slightest in doing a deal and even told me to go to Lifestyle as they couldn't possibly do the deal they did! Well I took his advice lol....it's a shame as I certainly won't be taking my car for servicing there with that sort of attitude.
