Massively excited and can't wait for my Cupra 265 to arrive (noted that is is no longer for sale in the UK now). The wait has been epic! Arrives next Wednesday :D after a 1/4 of a year...... My only worry is ... Should I have gone for the 280? I like (and ordered it for the fact) that the 265 is a bit more of a Q car, but I love the rims of the 280!!!!!

Performance-wise, there isn't a great deal of difference but still.........

I'll post pics once she arrives!

My black 280 is as much a Q car as you can get, but when it comes out it is quicker and has the great DSG that you can't get in the 265. Going by the poll on this thread not a lot of folk took AExpress's advice to save a few bob and buy the 265, even though they loved the 280 and the first test of a SC had 5.5 for the 0 - 60, no contest really.

Bet you can't wait mate...you won't be disappointed its a 265...as you say the performance difference is nothing and it will be a rare thing...maybe a future collectors car and with the smaller rims it's very much a Q car.

ST Cupra Alor Blue

Absolutment!

They had a 5 door FR in Alor on the forecourt - it's quite bright and sparkles in the sun, shows off the lines. I think the black multi spokes will work well, better than the standard ones.

A few pictures. I'm really liking the colour - the more I look at it the better it gets. I wouldn't have chosen it if there was Dynamic or Monsoon Grey but am glad there was no choice!

It looks greener or more turquoise when there's less light and really stands out in full sunlight.

The sports interface is a bit gimmicky and you can change between them - Boost psi, g force, Power Output kW, Oil Temp, Coolant Temp.

After 12 weeks I'm finally picking my cupra up tomorrow morning! Feels like Christmas eve

Go get her Piran, you're going to be grinning like a Cheshire cat for the forseeable!:D Had mine 10 months and I still grin like a lunatic every time I give the loud pedal a good press.

Love this colour, awesome looking car. Is it a new colour? (apologies if that's a dumb question, just don't remember it being an option when I ordered mine)

I love it too. Had soo many positive comments at work today

Alor was around last year as a custom palette colour (along with Dynamic Grey) and maybe before then. From MY16 the price has been reduced (as well as Dynamic Grey) to the same as the other paid for colours.

I'm sure your going to love your new 265, on paper it's only 1/10 of a second slower than the 280 but I bet you wouldn't know any difference in everyday use. I also agree its a tiny bit more understated than the 280 but not by much so only a tiny bit more Q and Hey, not everyone wants an auto box or 5 doors!!!

What colour did you go for? Looking forward to seeing some pics, Enjoy.
