Steamed my engine

Forgot to write this up last night, yesterday about 8pm I went down to the car and steam cleaned my whole engine again!! I couldn't get a lot of small bits off the last time so I thought I'm gonna give it another bash so I did, still never got all it off but looks so cleaner after the steam has been in around it.

I had some odd guesses that there was perhaps a vacuum leak or some issue with the MAF so I hooked the baby up to vagcom, made a few runs which didn't get past the 299 g/s mark. All other values look good so might consider cleaning my MAF sensor (or buying a new one, this one apparently is pretty old).

Why would you see a difference in power ? Is it connected to a secret supercharger ? :D

Did my very first DIY service. :funk:

Changed oil and filter, diesel filter, pollen filter (which was REALLY dirty) and cleaned pipercross filter.

Vag-Com was throwing up an error on cylinder 3 glow-plug so I decided to changed them all as sooner or later the others would be going too. Have to say that changing 3 and 4 was a real b*tch!

I would like to do that but space is my problem . It's been one of them weeks, gearbox started clunking/whining and noticed the gearbox mount was ruined at the same time also clutch and flywheel needs doing. Boost hose came off and I noticed Turbo bolts was loose, cv joint clunking, rear door cables stretched so it won't open, top mounts need replacing, cars started smelling on boost and it's burning a lot of fuel and oil then woke up to some nice deep scraped on my wing so all in all it's been a fun week. I need a good vag specialist to have a look and give me some ideas before I give up and scrap it
