Accuracy of build estimates

Ah well theres the rub, originally ordered about 5 weeks ago, found out my build week was 1 week before MY16, so cancelled and re-rdered figuring I'd have a further 4 weeks to wait! Doh!!

Whats this about 0% finance??

0% finance for 3 years but you have to pay 50% of the car value when you pick it up. No problem for me as my Octavia VRS should pretty much cover it.

That's what got my order in the end. VW was offering about 6 or 7 % on their finance and just couldn't justify that on top of a more expensive car as well.

Same here, no brainer really. As long as you can afford the 50% deposit. But if your lucky enough to afford it all, you can keep 50% and gain (some) interest where you keep it.

Where did you hear it was on the City of Barcelona?

It looks like it was in Drammen only a couple of days ago, which to me doesn't seem like its a sensible route to have come from Barcelona.

I'd say the arrival of City of St Petersburg in Sheerness this morning is a good thing, looking at its recent port calls, it left Barcelona last Saturday, stopped in Setubal in Portugal, Santander and now is anchored at Sheerness.

I await a call from the dealership!

So my 2016MY Cupra 280 has now been delayed and won't be built until late September! I have a source within Seat who tells me the current back order on Cupra is 1800 cars, and they build around 100 cars per week. I'm led to believe the main delay is wheels again, this time with the Black line pack!!

Probably going to cancel and look at a different car.......

Ordered late April. Been told build date week 37. but get my16 . At least I've still got the Faithful mk1 till then :ar!

I must apologise. I was given the wrong information about the boat and the city of barcelona was incorrect. Mine is on the city of st petersberg and is arriving at the port of tyne today. Scheduled to be at the dealer in 2weeks!

Its taken a while to get to Tyne, it left Sheerness on Sunday morning.

Heres hoping that the two weeks to get from dockside to the dealership is a pessimistic estimate.

Mine arrived at Tyne on a Saturday. There was the 1st holiday Monday after that and it arrived at the dealer on the following Wednesday. I picked it up on the Friday.

I've been told that the dealer has had notification that the car should be with them Friday or Monday. I'm guessing yours can't be too dissimilar.

I got an email on Monday he said 10-14 days.. Got my registration details today so that made me more impatient. Hopefully wont be too far behind you!
