You heard anything? SEAT told me to wait 2 weeks before asking for an update

Nothing yet, though I expect the earliest significant update to be next week some time.

My working assumptions around that are that the cars are probably on a boat on the way to Sheerness. I'd expect that to arrive in the next day or so. Then knowing how long it takes to get a car that is dockside 'in stock' like my current Mk3 that can take around 2 weeks.

I knew I should have gone to the Spanish Grand Prix and picked her up on my way home direct from the factory!

Anyone else have a lease car? Ours is being delivered on Friday, however was only informed today that its being driven to us by the lease company. Not too happy about this.

Hi, just received a call from our dealer today to advise that the wife's car would at the port in the UK on the 23rd. Needless to say, the wife is now getting excited. So I am guessing that we may see the car in 2 to 3 weeks :)

Yep, I knew I was ordering a stock car, salesman said it would be transportered down to Bristol from Leeds. They drove it instead and delivery miles were approx 250! If I'd been buying I would have rejected it. You'll need to make sure you're compensated for delivery miles eating into your allowance. Salesman through in a tank of fuel which for me evened out the £25 in potential excess mileage charges they've cost me. It was still fresh and new and I stopped caring about the miles the moment I left the showroom.

Edited to add - we sourced our vehicle direct from Seat. It's normal for leasing companies to drive the vehicle to your home address or bring it on a trailer for an extra cost.

I didnt know that tbh, its 100 miles but that's not part of my allowance of miles. It willl be recorded with the miles when it's at my house. Hopefully they leave some fuel in it lol.

Check the small print on your lease. In vehicle mileage mine just says "New", so anything above 0 I'm liable for. Might be different for you depending on your leasing company though.

I think your incorrect with the port there mate. The city of barcelona vessel arrived this morning at the port of tyne with all our cars on, not sheerness. What annoys me is that mine will pretty literally be driving past my house another 200miles south

7-10 days we should be rocking and rolling !!

Where did you hear it was on the City of Barcelona?

It looks like it was in Drammen only a couple of days ago, which to me doesn't seem like its a sensible route to have come from Barcelona.

So my 2016MY Cupra 280 has now been delayed and won't be built until late September! I have a source within Seat who tells me the current back order on Cupra is 1800 cars, and they build around 100 cars per week. I'm led to believe the main delay is wheels again, this time with the Black line pack!!

Probably going to cancel and look at a different car.......

Wowzers, thats a big backlog.

It doesn't surprise me they are having problems with the Black Line wheels, Most customers probably just decided to pay the £500 to trim off the 23 week wait for the standard wheels.

Sounds the same as my delay.....late sept build and order last week in April.

Thought about cancelling but nothing else in the market touches the cupra for performance and price, similar spec'd Golf R is about £8k more and you don't get 0% finance.

Ah well theres the rub, originally ordered about 5 weeks ago, found out my build week was 1 week before MY16, so cancelled and re-rdered figuring I'd have a further 4 weeks to wait! Doh!!

Whats this about 0% finance??
