Driving back from Woking to Gloucester yesterday and the sat nav took me on a horrible windy route up to oxford and then across on A roads. It was doing it for all 3 routes it calculated.

Co pilot on my iphone said I should be going over to swindon on the m4 and up which was 20 minutes shorter but only 3 miles longer. I bet it would be way more economical too as it would be 70 mph all the way.

Really not a fan of its routing!! Anyone else had similar issues?

Sometimes it's great, other times not so good, although it's still better than pulling over to ask for directions :D

Wasn't happy with its choice of route a few months back though, was in or around the bath area (sort of lost) and it sent me down a narrow road and across a long bridge that was so narrow I had to fully mount the pavement to pass a car coming the other way, finally made it to the other side and turned the corner only to be greeted by some very unfriendly fat woman sitting in the road on a stool, stuffing her face and demanding money for crossing her bridge :censored: WTF.

How times have changed, when I was a kid the trolls were always under the bridge

Anyway after that 'what did you do in your leon today' unpleasant experience, I now always double check the route on my phone with what the sat nav suggests before deciding

8 months in and my sat nav has worked perfectly and never played up or took daft routes, does the job and only complaint is that it has no speed cam locations as on the Biza Cupra sat nav.

Newbie here. Today (and yesterday) me and the Leon went to Sheffield and back from Hertfordshire to visit family. Not the most inspiring drive for a new(ish) car but at least the M1 gives you time to fiddle with the many, many settings.
Plus bits of duel carriageway and country road at each end gave me a chance to stretch its legs a bit. Verdict: diesel hatchbacks have certainly come on a way! Surprisingly quick.

what would be worse? wrapping a black car black?
or wrapping bits of it blue?
could do it shiny all over and pose outside Harrods when the middle-eastern mob bring their gross supercars over for the summer....

Well with a black car, I'd wrap bits silver or grey. Or just go all out and pick a random colour so you'd stand out amongst the Arabs in London

I took advantage of the nice weather to gave the car a good clean. I used Autoglym to polish the windows for the first time in my life only to find out what as waste of money it is. Next time back to cheap Tesco windows cleaner. Same results, only cheaper.

Get some RainX glass polish for the outside. I tend not to use it on the windscreen but it's a great cleaner & rainwater just beads away.
