Ordered the front splitter and rear diffuser from triple r yesterday. Haven't heard anything from them though for how long they will take etc how long did yours take to arrive mate?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Nice one mate. I didn't hear anything either, they just turned up. Splitter was around a week and diffuser around two weeks. I did order the diffuser when they were first available so may be a little quicker on delivery now

Is that parked up in Norton Rich?

What you got planned next? Would like to see yours in the flesh sometime.

Yes mate it's in Norton, it's outside my mates car audio shop.

Next plans are side repeaters, side skirts (still not 100% sure if i will yet), gloss black dash (currently silver / grey), gloss black front lower grill and fog light grills and black rear badges. I will be doing more but that's just off the top of my head.

You are always welcome to check it out in the flesh mate

Thanks mate, yes handy with a spanner! I'm 40 and been working on cars since i was 16, was brought up around them, my uncles were both mechanics and my dad was RAF mechanic. I followed and i'm fully qualified as well. Don't work in the motor industry anymore but never stop messing with cars, not much i can't do wth them?!

Where you from?

Well, decided to put the car on the rolling road today and see what was what?!

The guy i bought the car from said he had the car remapped, he showed me a receipt in the service history for the map at a cost of £450! Should be a pretty good map at that price!

On the rolloing road it went!

Not bad at all but that remap, didn't exist?! The car hadn't been remapped at all?! I did find a cheap tuning box on it (probably from Ebay) which i removed the second i noticed it!

The poor guy had been charged £450 for a cheap tuning box by the company that had claimed to have remapped it!

Anyway, the car performed really well for a standard car, standard spec is 168bhp and 258lb ft of torque.

Mine, 178.5bhp and 310lb ft of torque, was happy with 10bhp over standard and a smooth power delivery on the graph -

The car is booked in for a remap tomorrow so lets see what it brings?!

I'm not going to sleep! haha Another forum member is thinking the car is mapped?! I'm not doubting him, he said the power is right but in standard form it couldn't do 310lb ft of torque, but that's what the car did! Standard specs from the manufacturer is 258lb ft of torque?! Excited but battered head now?! :(

Hhhmmm yes that's defiantly not standard figures, do you know how accurate the rollers are? Try not to worry though mate I'm sure the tuner will be able to sort it out for you.

Plus if once mapped it only makes small gains numbers wise don't panic as for example you could have a map with high numbers but the delivery is crap. Before I went to R-tech mine pulled 292bhp and after it was pulling as my sig, but even though the bhp/torque only went up a small amount the difference in the way the car behaved was unbelievable.

It now feels like an animal compared to how it was so all being well things will be good for you Rich ;)

Cheers mate, the rollers are only a few weeks old so should be spot on. The guy has been mapping cars for 15 years and just had new rollers fitted. Just worried i will be getting ripped off?! If he is sure it isn't remapped but the figures say otherwise, why hasn't he picked up on it? Is he someone i can really trust with my pride and joy that i put good money and a lot of hours hard work in to?
