Well done James, some big guns there.

Seatbull, I was going to say if you were close I'd fit it for you

James you did brace the intercooler away from the air con condenser didnt you?

Yeah we had a nightmare with trying to keep the intercooler away from the condenser. See my third pic I have a couple of heavy duty cable ties going round the crashbar which loop round a bolt on the top of the intercooler. Doesn't move at all now. When the intercooler was bolted to the frame and pipework connected you could still push it back to hit the condenser.

I'm in stapleford ng9 and takes me about 2-2 1/2hrs driving casually

Stapleford near notts? Just put stapleford in my satnav and it says 50 mins.

Got the 2.0tdi and wanted this doing before a remap and dpf removal, what gains would I expect from this intercooler?

I would say no huge difference, however I haven't driven the car that had since fitting.

And now I'm selling the car so might have to go through that hassle of getting it out again.

Gains - probably very little to nothing.

What the bigger intercooler should do is maintain what you have when things get warm.

Will be more noticeable in warm weather than in cold weather.

And it will have more effect if using higher boost like after a remap.

That's a great guide thanks!
Oh a irrelevant question. But how and what did you use to wrap the bottom lip of your front bumper? I've also done the same, but can't say it's a perfect job.
Hope you can enlighten me! Thank you

What do you guys think?

I tested the temperatures before and after. I noticed that Intake temperature went down by 20ºC!! which looks amazing.
In terms of top speed and throttle response time i noticed a little drop, but i think its normal right...?
