well peeps,
had another nice drive down to aks tuning on friday to have the new brakes fitted-back and fronts, then the new fmic fitted also
both times its pee'd it down but eventually went nice and alex was working in a 28.5 degree heat in the workshop:ill:

once the car was unloaded alex whipped the wheels off so i could take some pics as we went to see the difference later on
fronts with brembo grooved discs and DS2500 pads

rears standard

then all the time and effort painting the new calipers alex had to scratch most of the paint off around the bolting area and inside for the new pads to fit:cry: then cleaned them out to make sure no paint deposits left in the lines etc
new ttrs discs on and pagid blue rs4-2 pads with hel braided lines

then onto the rears S3 calipers with pagid pads, standard discs, was gonna have hel lines on also but alex coudnt get them in time for my visit but ill get them done when he sends them out ;)-we also came across a broken brake pipe when trying to get off so had to order a new 1 in which only took just over an hour but was £16:-o

finally all fitted alex started to strip the front end down to fit the THS intercooler while i cleaned/waxed my new wheels and fitted 2 more goodyear eagle f1 assy 2's to have them all matching ;)well appy!

now back to the fmic, had a few problems fitting which were easily sorted, had the bottom crash bar cut to allow clearence for the ths,the cts pipe had to be grinded down to fit the new fmic hoses,i gave alex a hand at this point to crowbar the cooler in hehe

i was suprised that the S3 cooler that came off was better than standard until i seen it next to this ths:-o

finally all back together alex wasnt happy with the fittings of the revo intake and made a call to revo about the engine bolt wasnt mating up very well and the L clip that mates to the scuttle panel needed drilling to allow more freedom of fittings, alex then made the changes and swapped the ceramic pipe for a better fitting 1
lastly bled the brakes up and had to buy new bolts all round with locking nuts and some 3 mm spacers(cheers kev) to fit wheels

alex took it for a spin to test and all finished off

overall 1 hell of a difference, not the initial bite like the standard brakes but quater of the pedal down and it gives you whiplash:censored: so ive not put them to good use yet until ive bedded them injust needs a jet wash now to get it back clean
cheers for looking;)

Big brakes behind nice wheels, they look unreal mate. The black on black goes very well. They'll play their part well on the track.

I thought you would of put the Federal RSR's on the TD's for track use, less unsprung weight.

was going to kev like yourself, but its a shame to leave them in the shed doing nowt only using them a few times a year ;)

Brakes look sick mate! Must stop the car pretty hard now.

How much work is it to change the intercooler? Stil need to get my stock cooler changed out for a S3 one.

Bougt myself a set of TD's this weekend, realy happy how they look on the car.

the brakes are awesome was explaining to the misses how good they were but she aint interested so i thought ill just test them slighlty lol,can you imagine the nodding dog hahah:p
the cooler is pretty straight forward m8,takes roughly 4-5 hours, probably quicker now ive done it before:)
kev-would be nice for another set but its not cost worthy it for me thats why im keeping the pro race on for looks and performance and the orions im not too bothered how they end up

Glad you got the car all sorted in perfect time for the Trackday matey...........looks like it's going to be a mega hot one!

Just buy another set, that's what I'm thinking off doing :)
Mine are going to be going up for sale soon......just need to remove the R888's from them first!;)

They need a refurb, no kerbing or damage like that it's just the paint is chipped to buggery!

Really don't want to sell them but I've just bought a new house so they need to go.
