Picked them up on friday, mine and Bower1990's Cupra 280's...............

Yes it took 14 weeks to get them but it was worth the wait!

You do know the red ones are faster? I heard the factory send the red ones out with an extra 50 hp .

I ordered a Cupra 280 5d DSG 3 weeks ago (Netherlands) full operational lease contract.
Full specs only not ordered bucketseats and blackline package.
But, 1 week ago I got a phonecall from my dealer that delivery wouldn't be end of August but end of October if not later.
So went to them and found that 5 Cupra's in whole our country were on stock.
Only one of them had same specs but with a different color.
Instead of metallic white it was metallic black.
One user here posted some pics of his black one and it looked good.
So instead of 18 weeks delivery only 4. Could be sooner but my current lease is expiring 24th of august so I will swap then cars on that date.

Sent from my Asus Infinity TF700 with Dock

Car arrived today, ordered at end of April so quite a wait but definitely worth it. Lots to figure out and get used to but fun times ahead! Hadn't seen an Ice Silver car before today so was a little apprehensive but please to report it looks the biz (in my opinion at least...).
Will post pics when I get to required number of posts, in the meantime off to trawl the other threads for set up advice. Big thanks to the team at Marshalls Leicester, great service.

My dealer informed me yesterday that the importer of Seat in The Netherlands reported that there is a shortage of Cupra 280 engines and delivery times could be stretched by weeks, maybe more than 1 month extra.
After the closure of the plant in Spain it will be more clear what the delays are.
So get prepped for huge delays in delivery for a Cupra 280.
Glad I ordered a car that was on stock.

I finally stopped by my local Seat dealer at the weekend to check out colours.

They didn't have any Cupras but they did have two FR's in Red which looked so much better than most of the red pics I could find online. The white looked nice but I felt the red made up a bit for the Leons subtle design. I also looked at some basic silver Leons and they didn't look a patch on the video thats floating around.

So after 3 weeks of indecision i've swapped from Nevada White to Emocion Red, plus, as it's a lease deal it also has reduced the monthly fee (thanks to Josh @ Best Car Finder).

Now I just hope it turns up in September :)

I thought the same about silver because there are a fair amount of ordinary looking silver cars on the road however my silver 280 arrived on Monday and I'm really pleased with it - just as well really as I have it for next 2 years. TBH, I think the 280 is a belting looking car in the metal full stop and probably looks good whatever the colour.
If the weather isn't too horrendous at the weekend I'll give it a first clean and post some pics.

Josh at Best Car Finder sorted out my lease too, good people to deal with. If you haven't done so already I'd suggest calling the supplying dealer directly as well to firm up the build & delivery dates. However long you have to wait it will be worth it!

Looking forward to seeing the silver pics (although i'm not allowed to change colour again so hopefully they won't look too good haha).

Thanks for the info on BCF, i'll await my next fortnightly update and then i'll contact the dealer directly to see if they correlate.

Received my SC 280 manual in Phantom Black yesterday from Broker4cars delivered to my door on a flatbed with 5.9 miles on the clock - very impressed so far!

Bucket seats were not available when I ordered but the standard alcantara seats are very good. Will take a while to get to grips with all the set up options and menus though.

Good colour choice, I've had mine nearly 9 days, and I'm still working out stuff, never read so much tech info.:D

Ordered on 8th April, delivered on 17th July so just over 3 months.

Sold my Mk2 Leon Cupra in April so have been driving about in a 12 year old Skoda Fabia since then which makes me appreciate the new car even more.

Well, I can (unfortunately) confirm that the tyre pressure warning function works very well! My first ever brand new car, nail in in the inside shoulder of left rear after 3 days - first puncture for about 20 years. Good job that sensor picked it up though as would not have thought to check the pressures otherwise and visually the tyre looked fine but was 10 psi down on what it should be. Was planning on taking the car on 300 mile round trip tomorrow to see rellies (and finish running it in) but now have the joy of doing that in wife's Juke :(
My local Kwik Fit who helpfully located the nail offered to sell me a different brand or order me a new Bridgestone for £268. After coming round I mumbled something about the lease company and left quietly. Was hoping that my local Seat dealer in Poole would offer a sensible price (my local Mazda main dealer price matched local deals for my last car) but they said their tyre machine cant do 19s and they outsource them so it's going to a Bathwick Tyres branch on Monday who will supply and fit for £151. First week is proving to be pretty expensive but no regrets at all, big smiles every time I drive it and I haven't even been able to give it the beans yet!

Tell them another Kwik Fit as offered it you for such and such and they will drop the price.Ive saved over £100 a tyre doing this at my quick fit. If you ring other Kwik Fits all the prices will be different. Oh and they messed my wheel up so they had to pay for that as well.
