How to Change DRL Bulb in Leon with Xenon Lights

Hi,

I have the Xenon headlights with the DRL in the top corners. They share a compartment with the sidelights that are very easy to access....sidelights changed no issues as they just pull out, but I can't seem to get the DRL bulbs out? do they twist or what? there is absolutely jack about getting them out in the owners manual.

Thanks, and sorry for asking such a trivial question

LED DRL and Sidelights do look so much better, love mine :)

Only problem is getting errors every so often and having to turn your lights off and on again to get rid of it.

Which ones have you got though mate? i don't get any errors....the sidelights i have are
5W CREE LEDs so the wattage been the same as a standard bulb you'll never get any errors. and they are bright as ****!! then the 27SMD DRL 382's were from HIDS-direct with built in resistors. no issues yet....then again only had them in a day hahaha.

Yep, same here.

Never an error so far in about a year of being fitted.

The reg plate LRD's on the other hand are a PITA so they've got the original bulbs fitted as resistors and poked up inside the bumper.

Nath. I don't get what you're saying re the LEDs in the number plates? do you have resistors fitted and LEDs? or did you just get fed up and sack it off and just stick with the original dull bulbs? if you fitted resistors how easy are they to do?
in my other thread about LED numberplate bulbs there's been mention of trying the MK3 Leon LEDs - thought to be a whole unit like, but i'm going to enquire at my local SEAT dealer about prices on them.

We have scotch locked a standard sidelight bulb holder to the number plate wiring on the inside of the bumper, and then put a sidelight in it. This fools the can bus system :)

I have the same bulbs too , ive noticed a lot more errors since the weather has been cold and wet , if they carry on I might take them out .

Glad I'm not the only one!

Anyone know if there is an alternative to the LED ones?

I'm sure I once read/heard that a certain type of 'normal' bulbs for the DRL/Sidelight produced a colour which was similar to Xenons, but can't remember what they were.

Would be good if there was .
