You will get an error sometimes due to the led bulbs having such a smaller voltage usage and as for the bulbs you got mac, when you buy cheaper bulbs that suck (no offence) is a very common issue. Hid-direct have been around for a while so I would buy from their website or even their amazon and ebay shopfronts. I had the same issue at first moving from a damn ford which are cheaply built and don't have sophisticated systems onboard like the VAGs do.

I know people have an issue in spending more than they need to, but when people ask for bulbs that are proven to work and the same one keeps coming up, there's probably a good chance that it's error free! The one from HIDs direct isn't the cheapest, but it works.

What you need to do is on the DRL bulb holder there's two wires go into it. Swap them wires around and it will change the polarity, then they will work :)

Yeah they do look much better than the original ones, but they are not error free.

Every so often I get the error message on the MFD and I normally just turn the lights from Auto to Off and then back to Auto again, that seems to resolve the error most of the time.

I think nearly everyone with LED DRL and Sidelights experiences this issue and most decide to live with it.

I got my from HIDS Direct, the same place as lots of people.

I have the same bulbs too , ive noticed a lot more errors since the weather has been cold and wet , if they carry on I might take them out .

Same here, I was error free for a month or so but now the front left sidelight throws one up occasionally. Bizarrely, it sometimes throws one up even when the lights are off! Gonna look at changing the sides to error free ones, the DRL's are error free and are fine, I just overlooked the error free thing for the SL's when I ordered them
