Also dryed my driver side footwells after my repair didn't work, took the door panel off and ran water over the window, found the water to be leaking in from one of the bolt holes. Sealed it up with wickes roof and gutter sealant (butyl rubber in a tube) and no more water on the door sills, happy days!

So its been an eventful day. Had the car booked in for an MOT in Basingstoke. Left the car with them in the morning and about an hour and a half later I get a call saying the car is too low to get into the test centre! They tried 2 different test centres and it wouldn't get in either! They couldn't raise it for me as both their ramps were taken up. So I ended up borrowing a jack and raised it myself!

After shitting myself for another hour I was actually looking into buying a polo after I thought the Leon would fail BUT I get the call saying its PASSED!! AND WITH NO ADVISORIES!!! So I'm rather happy now even if I am now at the standard ride height!

On the weekend I'm back up there to get the backbox removed and have an oval tip fitted at longlife :)

Did this last night! Dead happy other than I can't seem to secure the lower part of the centre console :/ I'll have a play around another day and find somewhere to re-locate the 12v socket

    • converted window switches, light switch, rear window heat switch, and climate control display to blue led, The door switches where a bit fiddly but i won the battle!!
sidelights, amber led side repeater bulbs,Led reg plate lights, white led light strip in boot.

i had the leaking problem in my leon when purchased,

the fixes where to remove all old foam seal from the doors and install butyl.

put vaseline on door seals to improve water tightness.

take out foam seal in pollen filter tray and install butyl.

makesure the rear window washer jet pipe that runs in with the wiring loom behind the heater fan isnt

broken\fractured or disconnected, (mine was disconnected, but my leak was coming in through the
inner carrier seals and pollen filter. which is now fixed.

take out glove box and undo the 2 screws under the fan to drop the fan out and reveal if any water is in there to find out if this is the cause of your problem,

Coomon faults equal easy fixes if you have patience and a bit of knowledge although neither are required to acheive a water tight leon...

Really doing my head in now

I had something similar on my MR2 and the cambelt was out by a tooth, don't think that would be your problem though tbh.

I don't have a petrol, but could it be a coilpack?
