Well the banana has been away getting a new clutch. It's getting a SPEC stage 3+ clutch. Should be on the car next week sometime.
I've also purchased a loba 400 turbo :) so that will be getting fitted and the APR software tweaked while I'm offshore

Looking back through the thread you already had a Sachs clutch? What's your reason for changing? Just wondered? As my cars currently in the garage getting stage 2+ bits added.

Cheers

Do you include Vtune on the 2.0T ecu's. The lazy Lob......a wouldn't need that much tweaking.

Vtune was discontinued after the 1.8Ts because it lost relevance as the more complicated 2.0Ts were released. The tool itself would not be powerful enough to compensate for a "different" turbo.

Do yourself a favor. Save your money, time, and energy and spring for the full stage 3 kit. I promise we have some excellent software for that :D

G - if you go that far, you would need to do the same 4x4 conversion Dan did to make use of it.

Otherwise stage 3 on a Leon in the UK would be something like this;

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelspin

change

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelspin

change

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelspin

change

wheelspin

change

Grip - Oops I'm in ban speed territory - best slow down.

Meanwhile, a tuned S3/Golf R is way ahead of you from the same starting position.

And you'd still need the 18" wheels with better tyres, LSD bigger brakes etc etc.

And if you want good power from a front drive car, from what I have read, a German tuner has made good power from the new 2.0T K04 engine on an S3. Assuming the MK3 Leon Cupra engine is the same as the Golf R/S3 and tunes the same, a mk3 Leon Cupra would be another consideration if you want to spend that kind of cash and you'd get an LSD, DSG and a lighter body thrown in for the money too ;)

And add whatever kit/map/turbo conversion you want to make it quicker ;).

Not taking away from any turbo/kit/map etc - putting a realistic alternative out there for the money such a conversion would cost. Or get another tuner to map the car with the Loba Turbo. Hurdy has had some awesome results using a Loba LO400 using GIAC code :)
