For some reason on reading your last post Baron I thought of the original gran turismo as my favourite car was a race tuned Subaru legacy which you had to press accelerate immediately as it took 15secs to get from 0-4000rpm but went like cat crap off Lino, just had to keep it like most diesels in the right rev range. If the leon st was tuneable like that I'd sell my ibiza, ps3 and any kids I'm not aware of just to get it lol

Well if its fitted with a CR140 or CR170 engine then it will be able to get to 300+ with one of the GTB turbo's and a few other toys

It probably is the DSG model, its not confirmed but alot of evidence to suggest DSG will atleast be an option has been posted (leaked documents etc)

Would be a total fail and non starter for many if there was no DSG.

Wish they would release the detail officially for the UK including price and available from date.

DSG would be a great addition and broaden the appeal of this car to some extent. But I'm quite sure, that the main audience for the Cupra would gladly pick the manual.
Regarding the official release and details - same here. I understand, that the Golf GTI needed to be released first, but I feel that Seat have delayed it long enough. I also hope, that the details and availability of the ST estate version Cupra will be announced at the same time. That is of course, if the ST version received a green light from the guys up top.

Looks the same doesn't it, I wonder if the kit is available through the accessories page. I'm going to SEAT this afternoon I'll ask if it is.

This is the first time I've payed any attention to the new Leon Cupra I knew it wouldn't have what I wanted. Dsg and a 4wd option that's it, fwd and having to change gear doesn't interest me anymore!!!

Seat should have been taking orders on this car in the summer for years end delivery to stand any chance of doing well.

Pretty sure that the car on the clip there was not DSG - when it was possible to hear it from the rumble strips and helicopter, there were 2 distinct "slow" gear changes.

Good spot. This one has a camera mounted on the left hand side as well (or at least I thought I saw one at one point - maybe on for one lap?) - or I'm just getting old.

In both videos, they are 100% not DSG. The only way they will beat the FWD world record is if they attach a rocket to it, the MQB chassis is just not geared to be an out right racer. Then again it would be slightly embarrassing not to beat the Megane seeing as the design is now 5 years old, but good luck to them! I will never forgive myself for selling that car.

I honestly don't think they are interested in chasing records tbh they are simply testing a car
