Car seems impressive at gti as well

I think cosmetic things next, and start tidying up the car

900KG.....I am not sure it's even possible to get it to that weight, as Bill has tried hasn't he?

I think you should bring the stripe back.

Something else is coming back, in the stripe form, all will be revealed soon ;)

Ordered a black sun strip today, as I have no sun visors, it can be a bit of a killer with the sun setting, and I sit very low in the seat

Found this pic from Inters

Concentrating on tidying things up on the interior now, as I have not been happy with it for a while

There were bits of carpet like fluff stuck to a few body panels after taking out all the sound deadening which looked messy

rear inside arch cleaned

There was a whole thick line of it stuck here also, all removed

I am prepping the floor and cleaning the last few bits of glue off, ready to spray it satin black

Passenger side done

Excellent results from your remap and i'm very impressed with your launches at inters :) you did very well against Mr Prawn I hear. What size nozzle do you run with your wmi as the 5bp gain appears minimal, i'd expect more if it was set up for max performance.

Cheers mate, very pleased with it. Yes...we did 6 races, 4 of which I won, 2 I lost due to fluffed gear changes (excuses excuses )

The turbo is near maxxed out, it's only a CR turbo, so its working well for what it is, the meth isn't adding much performance (5bhp) but what it is doing is allowing the car to maintain the power on hot days. I didn't notice a performance drop on Sunday despite the soaring heat as the meth was doing it's job

i assume thats a water methanol pump or somthing but it looks like the wires could do with being lifted and a cable tie wrapped round the pump or somthing just to get rid of the kink.
enjoy seeing updates on this thread keep up the good work

just had a look, nothing kinked pump wise :)

Here is the progressive DO controller

I went for the advanced setup with the power, pump warning light and float sensor.

definitely worth having as when driving I can keep an eye on what the kit in the boot is doing, making sure everything is running safe. Worked well already the other day with the float sensor telling me the meth was low, flashing in front of me and doing it's job. Worth every penny

Well erm, not much of an update really as the car has just sat around really.

I am actually driving it about and enjoying it for once. Attended a few prepts at Brands Hatch recently. It's nice to drive it and it just works all the time.

I have purchased 4 x 15mm hub centric spacers, to stance out the car a bit more. Picking these up tomorrow night

Got a few stickers going on soon as well, then time to cut the rear bumper up to reduce drag....

Pics to follow....

So....

just ordered some of these, plans to follow ;)

My spare engine mounts turned up today also. These are going to be home brewed, with the original rubber drilled out and then fully filled with a hard resin.

It's either I pay £240 for a set of race mounts from Awesome GTI, or like I am doing, I picked up a set of 2nd hand mounts for £20 and buying some resin for £30.....I'm going for the home brew version:D

Canards for the front bumper are being made, rear LCR spoiler being removed and a race spoiler fitted...ugly, but it will be functional

 all will be revealed soon enough, proper marmite mod though, but saw it done on an Audi RS4 to reduce drag on the rear.

These got delivered today, ready for the home brew track mounts

Went out for a run last night and thought I would get a few videos up of 3rd and 4th gear acceleration

50-100 3rd gear pull

60-120 4th gear pull

starts to run out of puff about 110mph in the 4th gear pull, but I would have changed up by then, but couldn't due to filming. If I had of changed up around 110/115 it just carries on sailing into silly figures

feels very quick at the moment:D

well you mentioned cutting the rear bumper up and rear drag so im going to say your drilling holes to the same size as them round things and fitting them to neaten the edges, that is a guess but ive seen drag cars with holes in the rear bumper so yeah am i right?
