Go for solid top mounts. I've got KW top mounts fitted but you can buy silver line solid mounts off eBay. It allows more adjustability in set up. I've go 2 deg of neg camber on mine and it works very well.

I've got powerflex top mounts on the way. Don't think they lower it at all. Will let you know when they finally arrive. Been a week already :(

That's good to hear then so guessing there a straight fit with no need to change top caps or anything reason i ask 1 of the mk4 boys on there forum said you needed polo top caps

The psi tuning ones are a little bit lower, I've used modified top caps, but they are a bit too shallow. Good mounts though, much better than the polo top mounts, as they actually fit inside the torrent properly.

Powerflex don;t advertise a 10mm drop so don't know where people are getting that from?

I think the OP means Polybush the company who do advertise a 10mm drop. I was swayed away from them by Awesome GTI as apparently they had numerous complaints of knocking and such after fitting them so stopped supplying them.

Others may have had good experiences with them though so worth checking people's reviews!

I have the poly bush ones (red bushes) and can confirm they lower the ride height by 10mm. As I had the spas 30/30 shocks and spring kit and the back always sat lower now the car sits level. They also are straight swap just pull old ones off put new ones on. I would advise ALOT of cooper grease to as I only put a thin smear on and they creaked like mad so covered them and now fine, ride comfort was slightly lost but then if your fitting these your probably not to bothered about that.

my octavia dropped about 5mm on them (polybush). which is basically the same car.

I would agree with plastering them with grease as they are noisy otherwise. I re-greased mine a few months ago and already they are starting to make a noise again. Also they need to be fitted with polo top caps. Mk4 caps stick up too much and do bugger all.

From what I've read, polybush have made a hybrid of the polo bush and mk4 bush. As alot of people have been fitting polo bushes and audi 80 bushes to do the same thing for years. I'm not sure if I would bother again and the build quality isn't great. Plus the centre hole on mine has enlarged.

polybush vs brand new oem:

They would say that, Because they don't sell them. Did they try and sell you the powerflex ones instead ?

They used to stock them and stopped due to lack of interest/complaints. I was getting top mounts anyway and ended up going for Powerflex as I've not read anything bad about them yet.
