Hi, I have just been admiring your parking sensors!
I have a seat Leon 1.9TDI FR150 Mk1 55 reg. with I believe 4 dealer fitted sensors from new?
Just recently they have been sounding continuous when I select reverse & I am nowhere near anything!
I have pulled them out & cleaned them but they only have 2" of slack cable on so cant find connectors.
I do not understand how they work but wondered if there could be some faulty controll relay as sometimes they just start working but not for long?
Any ideas?

its usually when one sensor goes down that will happen, you might be able to unplug each one individually and then select reverse when they work normally that should indicate that the one that you have unplugged is the sensor that is faulty

Mine were factory fit I think?

Being that low, do they not pick up the ground ? Thought they needed some height clearance ?

Much appreciated advice!
I will try & find where they are connected.

They all connect to a little black box normally about the size of a packet of cigarette, I suspect it's hidden behind the carpet on the left hand rear quarter panel side in the boot. That's where I installed mine because it had the most space

Thank's, I removed the central black panel from the boot opening & could see the leads entering the grommet hole & they headed towards the left hand light cluster as you look in from the back. I then removed the left hand panel (took a while to see the 1 screw holding it) peeled back the carpet in the corner & found a hollowed out black triangle of polystyrene which had the small box inside. Next time they stick on I will see if I can isolate which one? If I find one faulty I am not sure where I can buy these as they are colour coded to match the bumper! I recently got some touch up paint which matched well & it is labeled :- Colour name - GRIS LUNA, Seat manufacturers code -S7Y. (I think the sticker in the boot says code L57Y but it is has been rubbed just at that point & is not clear & could be S7Y). Paint was ordered on line using car registration only!

Don't think you can buy one sensor, will be a complete kit, but there only about £30. If there's info on the little black box buy the same kit so it's compatible, saves switching everything over. Bugger about the colour coding. Just paint one yourself

Nothing on the box, looks like there was once a lable, maybe removed by dealer?
I see 2 screws in diagonal corners of the box so will look inside to see if any details inside?
Cheers! (actually 4 screws 1 in each corner - not got me glasses on!)

Was unable to check inside box as couldn't budge screws, but since dragging the little box out into the boot they have been working fine! (will leve it accessible just in case they play up again).
