Have a look at this setup, seems quite good!

Regards Ste

I have this fitted to mine, it's almost as if this was designed for the leon as fits perfect across the top of my FR+ rear bumper.

It's a strip that fits across the inside of the bumper. I choose this over the other types of sensors as you don't have to drill your bumper and I read that over time the paint will chip off the other sensors and make your bumper look a mess
You will need to drill a single hole to feed the wires through to the bumper as the wire from the main unit in the car that connects to the sensor strip is quite short.

It took me about 3 hours to fit and I'm super pleased as I can now park my Leon!

how did you get on with attaching the kit Mark? does it all work ok?
wondered about doing mine as missus will be soon using it as she doesn't look anymore as her bmw has them and so listens for the beep!

all work great - only downside is I like your misses hae become lazy allready
really easy to install

here you go some pics dudnt come out too well like the finished job pic so will take them again if this rain stops

so after getting car back this morning fitted the sensor and ran the cable through the rubber gromit in the spare wheel well

wiringbunginboot.jpg

power for the system was to be taken from the reverse lights as these are in the tailgate this meant removing the side panel again and getting access to the multiplugs on the passenger side

testingreverselive.jpg

to get an idea of which wire I was looking for I remove the reverse lamp holder and traced the wire

reversewire.jpg

on the side below the multiplugs I fopund a shared earth which was ideal to earth the system

All works well so I am happy and I will show the fit tomorrow I dont think it spoils the look of the rear

I have heard of a guy who didnt have his car level you can imaginge the results

Im a strong believer of measure twice cut once

Just an update. I bought the parking dynamics kit- the strip one that fits behind the bumper and it's awesome. Can't tell they are fitted atall.

Mine has parking sensor's and they were fitted from new by the dealer, there is a invoice for them at £325 back in 2005 55 plate.. There is even a warrenty claim receipt for reprinting them as the paint was flaking of them. Unsure if they were fitted in the factory or b the dealer them selfs..
