Car looks great as usual - looking into snow foam and lance tonight as I don't own one yet any recommendations?

Have you seen Chris' TT for sale on edition? Made me think about your cars carbon potential

My friend who builds the V8 hot rods dropped some more bits off for polishing last week.
1st up was a massive air intake scoop
As it was when I got it

After a bit of a rub

I could really do it sand right back with some 240 grit wet and dry but time was a bit tight and he only wanted them buffed up

Sorry about the poor iPhone pictures :/

Came home to a nice little delivery from Autobrite Direct tonight

They had some special offers on over Easter so took advantage of it :)
2x 500ml Blue MagiFoam (snow faom)
2x 500ml Purple Rain (De ironizer)
1x 500ml Banana Gloss shampoo
2x 1l Black fabric dye

I wasnt really very happy with the finish I got when I cleaned the Recaro's, there are some light water stains on them and they look a bit faded in places which I'm hoping this will sort :)

I had another mess around with the air filter at the weekend.
The black PiperX filter does match the bay a lot better but I miss my carbon Fibre cover :( so I had another go at adapting the air box to fit the cone.

I started by cutting a bit more out of the bottom of the airbox

Next I cut the top off of a spare airbox lid, I need the frame of the lid because the carbon cover screws to this

All fitted

It's ver tight and far to restircted, What I paln to do next is cut the front out of the lid frame so the filter has more room and maybe cut the bottom of the airbox a bit more to let the filter sit lower

And with the carbon cover on

Theres still a lot more to do to it till it's finished but it should all work :)

I really look forward to hearing how you get on with the black fabric dye Darren. What a find! Mine tends to fade a little and show some old marks a few weeks after cleaning  Steam cleaned, Megs APC, etc... Could be just what the doc ordered :)

Lovely photos as always. My cone/cover seems to get really good flow with the air from the twin air feeds. Hopefully you'll be able to make the pipercross fit as the CF cover really completes the bay IMO :)

Have you thought about fitting the top of the air box over the filter bout leaving the bottom off?

Thats what I'm trying to do mate, I need part of the bottom half of the airbox cos thats what the carbon cover screws to.
I am thinking about maybe putting the battery in the boot and moving the cone closer to the front.

Definitely interested in seeing how you get on with the dye, your seats sound to be the same as mine, it's doing my head in.

This is what I've got to try,
http://www.autobritedirect.co.uk/in...tectants/black-dye-carpet-and-trim-stain.html
Mark@Autobrite suggested getting the 1L bottle to do 2 front seat's, I might wait till the weather warms up a bit more before I try it, dont want it coming off when I sit on them

Shall we start moving that battery tomorrow? ;)

I was thinking about it the other day when we were talking about doing it and I've already got the cable run through the car for the amp, I cant remember what guage it is but it's plenty big enough, just need some connectors and a box to put the battery in,

El, get the train to Newcastle and you can move mine :)

I told you mate, migrate your ass further south :)

Lets have a look tomorrow. The only problem I can see though is that if you move the filter into the spot where the battery currently sits, how/where can you mount it and the air box cover? Your not keen on the open cone look are you. You will probably need to build a custom cover
