How did you decide... ITG v P-Flo???

Well i'm proper stuck. I've decided my cash should go towards induction and have read all the reviews and opinions that I can stomach, but still can't decide between these two.

So how did you guys decide, and if it was simply down to cost, would you have got the other one if you could / couldn't afford your final choice....?

Right now I want to go for the ITG, but the only 'niggle' I have is a comment in ZBOYD's very comprehensive review about it feeling sluggish at low revs, mmmmmm

I wanted to get a ITG but found it to expensive and got an Evoms v-flow intake in the end.
It sits between p-flo and ITG pricewise but gives one of the best gains on k04 engines

Its good to read the reviews mate a comparisons by users that are well respected on these sites is a great resource.

I thought that the sluggishness was between a comparison of the ITG & the twin take?

I have run the ITG fo a few years and havent had an issue with it feeling sluggish, but i've not had/driver atwintake version to compare.

I've run pretty much every intake and it would either be the Forge or the ITG every time. Main reason why I'm running the twintake at the moment is because the ITG is just too noisy although I do love the grunt.

Defo looks smoother and more refined, not heard any reports from anyone that's had one fitted yet tho!

I went for P-flo partially due to price but I also read a few reviews that said it was good & I'm not chasing huge figures so didn't mind if it was not quite as good. I must admit I still achieved decent figures & I love the sounds!

Wee G claims its the best! but his comment have come from what a REVO dealer in CZ has said.... and lets be honest a REVO dealer is hardly likely to say its not good.. are they

I personally think the best option is the VWR one as its full enclosed (it can be open aswell if you remove the enclosure) but its very expensive, The REVO option is virtually the same but that ones an open cone with a shield, so its not that different that the P-Flo i have got apart from the pipe work is alot more chunky which will allow better airflow.

Ive got the P-FLo which i got very cheap.. it does it's job for now, if i was going to buy another i would buy the VWR one why?

1. Its fully enclosed
2. Tried and tested in Volkwagen Racing Cup, Dunlop Production Touring Cars and probably other series like ETCC

Well I have one fitted and weeg has replaced his old induction kit with the Revo one, both stage 2+ cars.
I think mine is fantastic, although I am only comparing it to the previous one weeg had fitted!!
The results of weeg's next RR should prove if the Revo has made any difference!

But it cant prove 100% because different day, different temperatures etc

im in no doubt that the REVO is probably alot better that my current P-Flo

See Andrew has just thrown another contender in the hat here, the VWR. I've looked at this and it's now a straight race between the ITG and the VWR.

Basically, I think i'd regret not buying the ITG or VWR when I had the spare cash to do so, and so far I've not penny-pinched with my car too much - apart from the ebay short shifter which i regretted within a week.

Am I right in thinking that the VWR filter attaches to the front grill like the stock one?

Hate it's knotchyness and just feel the fact it is a lot lighter than the stock one isn't doing it any favours. I find it sticks in reverse and needs a second heavy handed attempt to get it out. I've done all the re-alignments and have the 42DD bushes fitted. Just not a fan mate.

Cheers for the heads up nearly ordered one for a customer but think I will stick with sorting him a Forge one.

Stolen from weeg's post today about his new revo induction kit....265g/s...


Drove the new intake for 30 miles.



Here are my findings:-



Finish is first class



Set up is slightly quieter than my old one



Pick up is more aggressive



Top end power seems to be better



On block 32/33 on idle cars MAF readings are bang on 0% previously fluctuating 2 or 3 % on old intake



Air flow is up on WOT by 20 g/s

If ur on a budget, get the p-flo, it sounds good, performs well enough, looks nice under the bonnet etc.
If ur chasing maximum bhp figures then pay more and get a revo/itg etc.

I've got the p-flow and for the price it's brilliant got the eBay short shifter 42 draft bushes and never had an issue with sticking gears and the gear change time is much improved

P-Flo is cheap but its not a contender against VWR/APR and Revo kit tbh
