Car looks immense on the wheels! They look bigger than they are and sit well - good choice!

Mirrors, windscreen wiper arms, scuttle panel, roof rail, chrome surrond.... I think you should carbon all these!!!! Pommes Tornado Red R32 comes to mind.

You not wanting to do the splitter full carbon yet?

Making me want to keep my car now!

I think they do look bigger than the standard wheels :D
I'm going to look at sorting the mirrors soon, I'm not sure if I'm going to do them myself or sub the job out yet, I know a few people that are very good with Carbon so we'll have to see.
I was going the wrap the lower splitter again but it takes a bit of a beating and I'd hate to see another one recked, the LCR splitter will be staying as it is, it just needs a respray.
The scuttle panel will be a pig to do due to the shape.
The roof rails could be interesting

just read all the thread m8 car looks awesome,a credit too ya ;)

Thanks :D
That must of taken a while :D

Na, dipping don't really look like carbon and it looks even worse when it's next to the real thing.

Saw a guy with a Subaru around our ways who does carbon dipping and I agree with you Darren, looks rubbish in my opinion.

The wrap that you use Daz, how does that compare to real carbon parts? I have another wacky idea for mine

Went to pick up the new spacers for the rear today.
The 16mm Forge's looked really good but they were a little bit too wide and would have rubbed if anyone sat in the back :( So I decided to replace them with another set of TPi 12mm Hub centrics

IMG_4553_zpsedeeab52.jpg

Unfortunately they didn't fit properly, The lip on the rear hub must be longer than the front's the they wouldn't go on far enough, So I thought I'd give the old 11mm Forges another try, When I first fitted the wheel's the Forges wouldn't sit flush against the wheel but today they did , I wounder if there was a buff in the cast of the 1 wheel that we tried them on

Picture time :D
Before with the 16mm on

This is where they have rubbed through the rear arch liners

Well the car decided to thank me for it's new wheels yesterday by blowing a coil pack  Luckily I was almost home so went round to Euro Car Parts and picked up a set of Beru coil packs for £101, they've got 20% off at the moment which helped.

That's a good price, mine decided to blow cylinder 1 then 20 odd days later number 3. AA replaced no 1 and I replaced 3 with a spare I had but every time I got the fault cleared it came back :/ and one evening I lost all boost for half a mile or so, spoke to my bros ex seat techie mate and he suggested it was misfiring so I bought 4 New packs and plugs through work that cost me £104 with staff discount. I replaced them all and my spare that I used for cylinder 3 didn't quite look the same so I'm wondering if it wasn't the right part all sorted now though :D

Cars looking good by the way not long now till I get to see it at AMD

Daz, question about your spacers. Are the Forge ones hubcentric? I tried to fit my mk4 R32 wheels at the weekend and they hit the Brembos at the front so I'll need spacers. I want to get the same ones all round so whatever I get will have to fit OK on the rear (I had the same problem a while ago as you with some old, cheap spacers not fitting on the rear hub so I sold them).

The pictures I've seen of the Forge spacers on the likes of DPM Performance don't appear to be hubcentric, hence the question!

Copied from Forges site

"These CNC machined precision alloy wheel spacers are 16 mm thick with a dual 5 stud bolt pattern for both 100 and 112mm PCD fitments. The spacers are anodised black to inhibit corrosion and "bonding" to the wheel or hub and are machined with an alloy spiggot to allow centering on the hub. (often called "hubcetric" spacers) The spacers are suitable for most vehicles produced by the Volkswagen, SEAT, Audi, Skoda group"

Nice one, cheers for that. I was hoping not to have to go as wide as that, do you mean that the 11mm ones are not hubcentric?

I'll be glad when the weather warms up I've frozen my nuts off messing about with the car this weekend :(

Started off with a snowfaom bath on Saturday. The car hadn't been washed for about 3 weeks

Washed with Autobright Magifoam, Megs Gold class shampoo (Wheels) & Auto Finnesse Lather Shampoo and dried using Megs last touch QD.

Saturday's jobs were cut a bit short when I noticed a big screw in the back tyre, Took it straight up to Wheel Power to get it sorted, luckily it hadn't gone through but it still wasted an hour.

Sunday I made a start on the inside, cleaned all the plastic trims and vent using APC and a detailing brush and then gave it a good hovering.

I really need to get some new mats soon.

Exhaust

Cleaned with Autosol and wire wool

Polished up the jubilee clips on the TB and Charge pipe

And fitted the new service kit to my Forge 007
New piston on the left

Every DV I've serviced has suffered with uneven wear on the piston, hopefully the new design will stop this.

Then I got bored :)

I bought one of the OTTO 1:18 scale model LCR's a while ago which I want to turn into a replica of mine, They were numbered but there was too many made to be worth anything in a few year's time.
