Well I've picked my car up after the service inc lambda sensor and spark plugs fitted (£25!!!! I'll be fitting them my self in the future!!!!). This is the advice.
1. N/S/F indicator bulb needs replacing.
2. Steering wheel angle sensor faulty. Hench the TCS light and started after I fitted the 225 wheel at the weekend....
3. Rear disks and pads are shagged. Which is/was next on my to do list.
4. The rear bush in the wishbones are f@@ked.
I've been told by LVS that the captive nut that attaches the wishbone to the sub frame and be so rusted on that the subframe needs replacing. Also that as the wishbones have been banging around. They may also be damaged and need replacing. So the quote for worst case scenario is £1224.40 for parts a labour.
Best case scenario for polly bushing the wishbones fitting the front ARB and tracking is £423.17.
Awsome charge £360 for polly bushing the wishbones.
AMD charge £499 to polly bush the whole car!!!
So I'm on the look out for second hand wishbones ideally polly bushed ones.
On a plus side in the short journey home the mpg has gone through the roof! The car also feels much nicer to drive with the DV sounding a lot louder. Tomorrow I'm hoping to fit the boost gauge.

Plenty for you to work through there mate! Not great news re the wishbones but I'm sure you'll sort it out soon as you can.
Poly bushing is the way forward! Just chucked mine in AmD and said check everything else you can get to under the car and if it needs doing, do it.
Once poly is done it's done. It'll feel so much tighter to drive and all round even around town will feel more solid (that newer car feel).

If they'd of had the bushes in stock I'd of told them to do it there and then. As they didn't it gives me time to think about my options. I don't want to drive around for long as it is though. Awsome have the bushes in stock at £90 so I need to track down some wishbones. Fitting the bushes my self using Tim's guild will save some £££.
Tom you're feed back and that of others excites me as my bushes must all be shagged so the improvement will be huge. I must admit that I stopped to have a look at a EVO 6 for sale near me on the way home. I know my cars ten years old know but it's just one thing after another. Like a EVO's going to be cheaper to look after!!!

Poly bushes do make an amazing difference. Mixed bag on the news. Honestly mate, I'm not mechanically minded but I replaced all mine. I know I'm moving to Marham and theres a baby on the way, but I'd be happy to help you along with it if I can get over. There's a subframe on eBay for 60.00 I think and wishbones should go for around 50 for a pair. I sold mine to Richard (RDS). He might have his hanging around.

So I tried to fit my Stack boost gauge this morning. Only when I put the connection for the boost hose on its to deep!!!!
So I fitted my old gauge again. The holder looks ok so I tink it's time for he V3 version to accommodate the stack gauge. Or I'll give in and get a double Nomad holder as I want to fit a oil temp gauge soon.
I've also ordered a polly steering rack bush so the front end will be dully polly bushes.

Good point I'll have a look. The back of the pod slopes quiet a lot so space is tight. I'm not 100% happy with how it turned out so I may redo it anyway.
Well my fing boost gauge has stopped working!!!! Deep breaths. I stopped to look at the EVO 6 again...
No I must resist! So I order new rear disks and pads as they are past there best. I've bought standard pads and Godspeed rear grooved discs. The plan is to switch to Godseep 330mm disks at some point this year as I'm not happy with the front discs and pads I currently have. They way things are going 2013 will be the year of the Chassis.

Year of the chassis eh? That's a good call. All the regular handling mods you see for these now make a big difference. Plus you've got the diff too so it will complement all those that bit more. Will be worth it trust me.

Be good to see what you think of the Godspeed brakes. I'm thinking of trying them out next time round
The fault code has not come back yet and the mpg has risen again. Do you think your cats dead? How have you found it after having the poly bushes fitted?
Yeah theres no point in spending money making it go faster if it's not handling and stop well first. I'm excited to have the bushes replaced now and see what differance it makes!Hope you sort the gauge soon mate. Not ideal

They're not bad prices and the couple of people I've asked that uses them seem pleased.
The cat is in my shed lol! Got a decat fitted and had that eml light on but since fitted a spacer but keep getting this fuel trim bank one which is pre cat side or possibly vac or boost leak! The bushes are great feels a little firmer bit the car feels a lot more planted and sharper turn in as well just need to get my tracking sorted out now
Has anyone looked into adding some aero to their car? I know it's over kill for what I use my car for but it should be fun working out how it works. The canards and splitter/air dam are straight forward enough. It's the flat floor and diffuser that's going to need some research. Also I'm unsure of how to add some rear down force with looking crap. I need to do a bit of research (ok a lot!) but should be fun. Any ideas or advise are welcome.
