Climate here sucks -20oC if we are lucky. While a/c assembly probably weighs 10kg approx

Make sure the inside lip of you front bumper doesn't rub on the a/c matrix once its all back together. When I fitted my THS cooler I had issues! Expensive ones.

In my climate zone is wide range of air temperature.
Now its -15 and on summer it will be +20 to +30 deg
I cant remove A/c and loose comfort on summer

I used the one of the APR guides on a friends car to change the intercooler and also used the original pipework by cutting the metal end off.

Took around 2 hours to complete the job.

Really, are you anywhere near Loughborough???
Seriously though, can you remeber what size bolts you used to secure the IC?

Cheers.

Hi. Sorry I have only just spotted this.

Yes I'm not far away from Loughborough.

I don't remember what size bolts I used, I believe I remember finding the correct size on the golf forums.
Do you still need help with it?

Hi Mate,
Still not fitted it, got let down by a mate last weekend. I'm planning on doiung it next weekend (16/17th).
I found some bolts in the box with the intercooler, hopefully there the right ones.
If your free to help that would be smashing.
If your ok with that weekend, I will pm you my details mate, and price mate.

Fitted the intercooler. Took just under 2 hours to fit. The correct bolts are suppliex with the intercooler. Probably down to air temp. But feels like spooling up faster.
Now ready for stagd 2+

I was quoted it's a 4 hour job, which it isn't.
I'd budget paying £70 ish an hour, and be being charged 2 - 2 1/2 hours. Unless you know of local garages to you. It would also be useful being there whilst it's done.

My spelling is awful, that's posting while using my phone.

Hi mate,
I used the original hoses, but cut the metal connectors that go into the intercooler.
I placed the metal end in a vice, and cut LENGTH ways. The connector is alluminium, so is very easy to cut, just dont go mad otherwise you will the hose.
I made four cuts then just prise the inner/outer parts off the hose.

Hope this helps.

Oh right wicked man. I thought it was actually cut the hose down not just remove the clip! Cheers.

No mate sorry. I only priced up the injectors, 88 each plus the dreaded. So, 106 each is awesome. I will get a list of everything required for a conversion and price the lot up.the
