Looks like i've got the last set of IE cams in the world not installed in anything :cartman:

James, mine are the CVA1's which are the most aggresive Hydro one's, lumpy V8 idle etc :D

I heard rumours around April for the restock of cams. Bill may know better as he's after a set.

Piper also do a performance cam set for the 1.8t, also catcams.... There's loads of catcams varients though, dunno which version would work bet with your setup. Maybe have a look over on vwvortex mate.

cams like badgerwagen runs have been good for me. not as wild as IE's CVA1's but they are at least available, as are some other specials I have had commissioned.

I'd ideally like the IE one's but I might have to settle for my next choice should they not be available in time.

What are your recomendations for my install Bill?

if lumpy idle is'nt an issue the aggressive ones, else the badgerwagen ones.
both made by catcams to specs I provided...

IE have no cams in stock :(

I can supply catcams to badgerwagen spec and others which are more aggressive.
I run chilled cast cams myself... I dont see the need for billets on hydro top end

What gains do you 'think' I will see from a cam setup like badgerwagen? I don't really want lumpy idle if I can help but would like to lift the top end a little for as little bottom end power as possible... (not much to ask :) )

I cant give xyz gains for badgerwagen cams as they were fitted with a bunch of other things.... and on a 1900cc not 2008cc motor....

they wont choke top end however like stockers do.. :p my peak power is at peak rpm and still climbing 8800rpm

Update:

Car is going up to B5 earlier than first planned. Missing driving the car so going to put it back on the road a month earlier than planned (1st Mar).

Car will hopefully be going up to B5 on the 2nd March for a week to have some cams installed and to have some mapping tweaks put on as well.

Need to get my arse in gear and sort out a list of things to do.

1. Sort out a set of cams. Currently between the 3658 offering from CatCams and a special set that are built to Bill's spec that he currently runs in Badgerwagen.
2. Relocate the battery to the boot to give a bit more space up front to get air to the filter.
3. Install my boost and oil temp gauge that have been sitting in my garage for about 6 months.
4. Install an oil cooler as the last addition before going for any trackdays.

No doubt there will be more additions to the list before long.

Someone say track days :)

Glad you're putting the car back on the road sooner than planned. I thought you might start to miss the boost a bit ;)
