haha cheers for the comments i lost the batman sticker a few weeks back i was fed up of people taking pics of me on the motorway bit awkward so it came off.

so a few updates to my plans not the car yet, it's coming off the road again now in the next few weeks so i can get it fully painted with new wings not as much flair on the front and spraying it in a different colour to the bmw grey originally planned as i dont want anyone to know what colour it'll be and another local lad is now doing his the same colour so i want to be different and the new colour ive decided on will look alot better than the grey i hope and be more fitting with the track look

also may possibly be swapping wheels again fancy some 16s but with not as much poke on the front as its kind of awkward trying to give it beans when all you hear is splashguard rubbing so im thinking about selling both sets of wheels (the rota grids and the 17 inch compo's) and get 1 set of wheels that i can fit will have a nice stance and can be driven properly on.

few more updates

hopefully i have just sourced some track wheels just waiting to agree on a price for them they are oz super t's off a cupra r they are 7x16 and clear the brembos and best of all there is 5 wheels so i now have a spare wheel i can keep in the boot instead of nothing haha so i can now fit my yoko ao48's on there and have some serious fun when i get it on the track next year,

also have picked up a clio 197 rear diffuser, i got it from work the car came into us with a rear end shunt but it was just above the diffuser and wrote the car off so the owner bought it off the insurance and we have to repair it and get all new parts so i have secured this as its having all new parts so i will somehow graft it to a rear bumper in the future and maybe combined with a front splitter may and i mean may just make it handle a bit better but that's to sort out in the future if it all gets out of hand as it probably will.

also spoke to a guy about making me some perspex windows for the car but im trying to work out if i want my car to be unpractical and would also like to go through maccy d's and get myself a burger without having the trouble of it not fitting in the slider lmao so that's something ill also look into

Updates sound good, im also looking for some track wheels 16's, mine scrubbed like hell at trax and they are just 17x8 so i can imagine what yours are like.

I think it should be kept as a batmobil! that is different and would look awesome on track. just my opinion though

I love this car.. Its put you through some shíte, but you've stuck with it! Good man..
Not going to lie.. I absolutely hate matt black cars.. The colour is just gash.. I know it was a joke for GTI like, but If I could have any colour cupra, it would be the flash red!
I read through the whole thread, and theres a picture you took with a decent camera, and the colour of the car, against the red wheels just look MINT!! Makes the car really pop out, as I know its mint anyways..
What wheels are you thinking for the street mate? As I know your going for SuperT's for the track, right?

cheers for the comments lads,

bit of an update the guy who i was picking wheels up from let me down trying to soer a day to go and get them after 3 weeks of pissing around we set a date to meet and exchange cash for wheels he tells me someone local wants them so it saves hassle meeting etc YE THANKS MATE so that never came off

updates will be very slim from now on everytime i pop something new on the car people start copying and going for the same wheels/paint as me i cant be bothered with that so i wont be posting alot from now on about what ive bought and what colour the car will be, the car will also be stripped back down and properly finished off maybe new wheels/seats and some exciting other ideas i have or maybe stripped and sold in parts who knows, im also going to take some time off from cars just sold my van and will be getting a push bike to go to and from work on and saving my money and see how i get on with that

Try and not get too down on the copying mate, they will always be somebody who does it... Especially if it looks good...... Think more like you've inspired them.

no dave mate not aimed at you you header sorry if you think that haha it just seems all the younger generation are hammering me with questions on various forum's/facebook all the time its unreal mostly the seats and wheels onto other cupra's, i think i need some time out for a while car is going well just a few issues to sort out and working with cars all day everyday is a bit too much maybe i need to take a step back and find another job maybe? as working on/with cars people seem to think you know everything about them,

i think its my time of the year again everytime the winter creeps in i get all depressed lol or maybe im just getting old and miserable haha

i will be posting just need to let off some steam and take a holiday and get the love back wwooooooossssssaaaaaaa
:D

Mcfunbot had the same problem regards question etc but if you build a big turbo track monester your always gunna get ask especially when theres only a hand full of bt cupras left and a rare few aimed at track

Certain ideas you gotta keep ya cards close to your chest i know but when you have any car that stands out like yours people are always gunna take note

Like graham said its inspiring to some people

sorry mate if it came over like that i have realised im just a misserable person haha just need some motivation now and again my mates aren't into cars big time like i am and most of you lot on here are so im left to pick up thee peices on they're cars when it all goes tits up because they have no clue haha

i will update the thread now and again but wont be alot happening im going to remove the head and get that filled with new cams/valves/springs/retainers and get the manifold modified with an external wastegate, also going to remove the exhaust and rear beam and front subframe and all the underside will receive some fresh sealer and some stone chip and be painted body colour aswel as all wheel arches.

also thinking of swapping the turbo over for a gt2871 wrc spec item and either running management or keeping the stock ecu in there but trying to find out the best option for my needs as the car will be a weekend/track/show car.

few updates to the car while im at it, missed out on some seat sport oz super t's as the seller sold them to someone else before i could arrange collection.

been doing some purchasing mind:

finally got some front carbon fibre door cards these took me ages to get hold of as perfomance trim went bust i thought id never get a set but lucky enough a guy an edition 38 had some and kindly put them up for sale the only time i have ever looked in the interior section (i dont usually bother as my car has no interior haha) and had them for £70 delivered just need to get some mark 2 pull handles for the doors now :)

also got some compbrake top mounts these require some modification to fit but nothing i can handle these will be on in the next few weeks aswel as my new wings to see if i can get these rotas to sit flush on stock arches.

the plan was to get the car to my work over the xmas period and de seal all the underneath, remove petrol tank, rear beam, exhaust etc and re-do all the underside and the arches of the car in a light grey stonechip to go with the new colour that the car will be having in the new year, unfortunately i went out for a few drinks with mates on the 23rd of dec and got attacked by a few lads for no reason and have been in bed since with busted ribs and an elephant like face black eyes, black ears, thick lips and bumps all over me so a nice present from some scumbags but as my family says at least im ok?

so once im back up and running ill get all these fitted and get some pics up of my handywork and get cracking with the car

they are adjustable but need turning to adjust, these have extra camber on them the only modification will be needed on the actual strut top ill have to trim away a small bit of metal thats on the inside as the top mount is not central, i rang compbrake up and they said i must have the wrong ones but looking through ibiza alex's thread and badger 5's build they both have removed the metal for the extra camber/castor it only requires a small trim, ill get a pic now.

also pic of the door cards

i also made this myself this wont go back in my car as i have no interior so a mate is having it for his i only used it to practice on but i took it to work and had it laquered for a better finish, well happy with the results now time to carbon the rest of the stuff i have removed :)

also i think ill be selling my mattig mirrors i dont think they suit the car and will be buying a stubby one as it looks more oem and will help me reverse the damn thing better than the ones on there now they look good but as i cant turn around when im in the buckets its hard work reversing especially in the small garage the car lives in haha

I did'nt use the same ones as you've bought
Mine were for pug, and blank which I had turned down and new PCD threaded holes added.. Centre of strut tower needs to be trimmed to get more adjustment same tho.
