I just had a quick look on the net and it seems the 1.9tdi takes around 4.5 litres of oil. So I would say you need some more! Are you changing the filter too?

Finally managed to start my projector retrofit! The lights are too big for the oven so got a heat gun (about 20 years old!) on the go and managed to get one headlight open after about an hour! Will do some more over the weekend and see how it looks before I seal it up!

Had our "dent" assessed by a shop and he pointed out something I totally missed...that most of the door is caved in from below the door handle to middle of the door.
Too big a job for them and needs a proper body shop.

Merry f-ing Xmas... Hundreds worth of repairs

It's sorted. Dude at repair centre said he expects about 200 quid to fix. Can't get a candy white door for that :)
Esp not with leather trim.

It's still 200 of my cash for something some other inconsiderate knobber did

Holy ****, did you not get a quote from anywhere else? That seems a bit expensive, comparing to the body shops around here. Tbh I would have bought another door ( there are a few on ebay) and got that painted white, If the dent won't come out like they say then I wouldn't want half my door covered in filler and then painted over

Offered my new wheels up, I think they are going to look pretty damn good when they are painted in anthracite :D

They are obviously only reps but they are so light it's untrue. SO much lighter than the OEM 18's,... I will get one on the scales later and see how much they are, i'm guessing around 11-13kg ( I heard real ones weigh 10kg)

Ended up being 150.
It's not really a filler job at all. Just needs to be pushed out from the other side and the smaller dent is going to be taken out by electromagnet reverse hammer.
The cash is in taken the door off, door card off, red-shaping the door, putting it all back together and then polishing the scratch and topping that up a bit.
I thought 150 was alright :s

Got to agree shnazzle, that seems a decent price - a lot of places would've wanted to respray half your car!!! Did you not find out who did it - thought I remember you saying something about checking CCTV at work...?

Just realised all the autocorrect typos in my last post. Sorry guys!

Yeah I thought so. The guys came recommended through a garage I trust. Sure it will turn out ok.

Still working on finding out who did it. If it happened at work, it will be on CCTV. And there aren't that many red cars...

if you can change your wipers, you can change the pollen filter mate.

passenger foot well, look up, slide the cover off, and replace.
