Nice thread mate
Be warned, we have a habit of persuading people they need to plash the cash on their cars
cheers mate
To be honest I'm not keen on foam filters. You're right about there not being much difference between filters though, I've got a giant Green Cotton one to go on mine, not because I'll see an improvement, simply to fill the gap when I move the battery to the boot.

Panel to cone you'll see an improvement, I meant cone to cone.
very interested in getting a cone filter plus heat shield as im still running standard box , where s the best place to get all the bits i need
Although back to back logging done on my car of a green panel filter vs the huge cone gave something like 11g/s improvement
Seems like ive sparked an idea for people running massive filter if the battery has gone
Good work by the 'ED' side of TED yesterday mate.
Filter is big! I can now confirm as I've just seen Darren's myself. It also sounds throatier than the jetex. But as said, gains if any are going to be marginal. Looks better in black than blue in the bay plus my jetex is getting on and I usually just replace the whole unit than carry on washing an old haggered one.
Looking forward to early part of next year mate when you line up some new shoes for the old girl
