Then redid the fascia (as the filler was annoying me)

Minor mods; moved the fume pipe for the carbon canister to the fuel filler

Have also fitted new rear bearings and shoes. Got offered a full cupra setup by Toddy, but I just don't have the money atm :( Would love it though.

Also on the way is (hopefully) an excuse to get my headlights apart and painted black. First of its kind (I think and hope). I've certainly never seen it done.

Yeah jord, the lot. Gutted right now.

Na, i like it there man. When i've got the front end finished properly, it'll be swapped for a proper small plate :)

The wipers are spot on dude. Suit the car so much better than retrofits. FYI, they're lupo wipers, not ibiza ;) Since i fitted them, i found that you can get the right size wipers for our cars instead of cutting the n/s down like i had to.

How much did he want for everything? :p
You do need to get them headlights black, and lamin-x'ed.. Would look sick!

I love that! Lupo wipers may just have to get bought.. Do they make as much noise as the standard ones? I cant handle that noise everytime the wiper swings across the windscreen :p

errr, £50. But other things have to come first.... like getting to work. Ugh. Stupid phone. Tapatalk doesnt work in the gym, and the webpage is useless >_< anyway....

Yeah, well..... maybe i will, maybe i wont. Not telling. You'll just have to wait and see what i come up with ;)

Yeah, get em dude. You have to get the right arms, otherwise you'll just get standard arms.... i cant help atm as i am out, obviously. I'll see if i can find them when i get in. The pop to halfords and get the 22 and 18" set with thr right connector on. Your welcome :)

That isnt bad at all!! Is it plug and play do you know?
Well I think that is very selfish Owen.. Very Selfish ;)
Legend mate!! I take a look on ebay now! Many thanks laar

Okay, if you're feeling a trip to a stealer, have a run through this link. And take on board what I said about the Halfrauds kit. You're welcome :)
This is coming on well man keep it up! :)
you got it on coilovers yet!

Needs to be lower.. ;)
Ugh. YES, its on coilies. No, not going lower. I have plans for the front end, and the rear end needs narrower tyres to STOP WITH THE SCRAPING. Theres one particular road, 70 limit, but if I go 70, I scrape 3 times in less than half a mile..... Its not nice. and Passengers (whatever they are!) complain too lol.

Excuses for a skinny gf imo!

Oh. One other thing:

BOOM!

IMG_20121018_220557.jpg

That is all.

get some camber at the rear that will reduce the arch scrapping.. take out the front arch liner.. that will give you some added lows..

but fair enough if you dont want too :) my roads around mine are fine its just the double speed humps they P*** me off!

how about curpa interior i picked up a full set with all the plastic trims which are black instead of grey makes it look nicer imo.. i also got a new headunit lump thrown in as mine had the drain battery faeture going on.. and i got all the above for £200.. the cupra seats hug you more and more comfy! :)

Na, I'm not a fan of the cambered look. Got some on the front, which I need to get rid of.

Woah, hang on. You have a cupra interior and stock HU? All from the same car? You know if you got the stalks, you could make cruise control and the trip computer work? ;) Unfortunately, thats not something I can afford atm. I'd love it. But living comes first.

Actually, Ceejay, you've got a 1.4? How do you run so low with all of the plastic guards and the cat below the block? I swear, if they had put the block the 'right' way round, our cars would be PERFECT for slamming. The engines so short! :p

yeaa ive got the whole interior from a cupra apart from the the dash! yeaa from the same car.. im not as low as you think.. just 3 fingers gap from the bumper ive gone for the front rake look soo its pretty safe under the car however the cat iss massive its like a nos can on mine.. :L cuz im on 16" i dont have to notch the chassis to get a tucking front wheel which is cool.. id like to go lower after the winter has passed but i may need to do alot of work.. maybe straight through it.. and just make up claps so a can put in a cat on for MOT! :)

I do like the look of them projectors... A lot!! Neeeeed theemmm!!

Do you know that a FULL cupra interior went for £52 on ebay on wednesday night.. Needed collection from inverness.. So nobody went for it :p

Thats the reason I have no CAT on my ibiza, because I smashed a speedbump, and all thhe filters broke up inside. So I just chopped it off, and left it.. Sounded like a tractor! But Im not driving it anymore, until a couple of weeks time ;) Need to get that exhaust sorted first.. Where can I get a cat from? I need a breakers yard or something..

Owen, get her slammed and stop being a pússy.. If your bird complains, give her a slap and tell her to walk if she doesnt like it.. I used to say that all the time.... Now shes my ex...

Ooooooh, you might have to get the stalks and get some cruise control up in there ;) lol.

Ahh, TBF, I'm not looking for tuk, just for the arch to look right. Its not perfect now, but it doesn't need to go a whole lot lower to be right imo.

You know the other option is move the cat further back.... just cut it out and weld it a bit further up the pipe. As long as its in front of the post-cat lambda, its no problem :) And thats movable anyway with the right tools/friends ;)

Yeeeeeaaaah Jord, you know it makes sense ;) The plan is to mod them so I can use them for hi-beam too HIDS IN YO FACE!!!! Cos I'm like, bitchin' like dat :p

How is it with no Cat then? does it sound like mine? I still have no clue what the hell I did to it to make it sound as good (and LOUD) as it does! Been having troubles with keeping the back box on, but basically some hammering, cutting and a torque wrench later, and its no LOUDER! :funk: Its all good.

As I said to CJ, OEM+ is my game, not scene, dub whatever. I just want the car looking right.

And yes, projector lenses and black headlights will be SO right ;)

With no cat, it sounded like a tractor.... Because I took the cat off, and just left it.. Literally...
I couldnt handle a car that sounded mega loud.. It kills my ears loads!! I wouldnt mind a bit of a throaty sound, but thats achievable with a cupra backbox.. That would do for me tbf :)
Yeah, Im all about the OEM+ All the parts on my car are either standard and tweeked, or off a cupra.. The wheels however, are a little in YO face!

Projector headlights will be a bit awkward to be BI-xenon.. am I right?

Hehe. Nope. The way they work is like the eye, so to get the beam higher, you just need to move a blanking plate down. 12v Solenoid + a hinged joint and jobs a goodun. Can run the 12v off the hi beam as solenoids take so little, and the H7 lamp becomes Bi-xenon ;)

need to look into the cruise control mod! sounds like a good idea
as for the Cat again ill have alook at maybe some sport cat-backs but im not up for a big exhaust as im not a fan of the whole JDM jap can look.. its all about the hidden one for me!

everything is oem+ on mine got a mate that works in TPS (staff discounts) so everything i get part wise is from there.. genuine.. as for the wheels there not OEM+ however they as pretty rare in there self and i like doing things different :) never seen a beefa with compos!

plan is to look around for a new cupra front bumper as the last owner scruffed mine alittle and im OSD.. and need a new bonnet as mine has a little spot of lacquer peel.. soo keeping an eye on forums and the bay for imperial blue cupras that are breaking! my interior was the best thing i have invested in for my car makes the inside so much nicer!

Why not do my bumper mod? take the slats out and deblank the bottom splitter. Much cheaper than a cupra bumper, and you're not making it out to be something its not (also unless you're going to put sideskirts on, a cupra front bumper kinda looks out of place).

Oh, REALLY!? Well perhaps you'd be a a good person to ask then. I fancy putting some kind of flexible rub strip along the bottom of my front bumper, since the LCR splitters are now £40 a pop. I've seen something like this, but I'm not sure if it'll do the job. If you know if that'd work, or your mate knows of anything, I'd be mighty appreciative of some pointers. The one down side of online shopping: you can't see what you're buying.

Lol. Aftermarket zorsts aren't worth the money for our cars. If you have any kind of contact in a garage with a TIG welder, ask if they could replace the cat with a blank pipe and move it, for example, to the mid section, or just behind the block, because the exhaust comes below the engine then over the front axle. If it'll fit in that gap, you're home and dry :)

true matee.. the scuff is pretty deep.. would have to be sanded down.. your right..just im not not good at the body work side of things.. il have to have alook as i think it is pretty far down to the engine side. funny thing was when it went thought its MOT the emission test read really low which i was surprised about as it was a old car and probs has the same cat from new :L
