Does this EGR kit replace this:

Then you dont have a flap to control the air flow anymore ?
When stopping the engine, and when releasing your foot from the throttle.

Willz big bit of advice here!

Get the EGR return pipe (the one youve blocked at the end with the plate) removed ASAP

Why? Because i left mine on for a few months one day all of a sudden the car went into limp mode and cockpit was full of exhaust fumes. Basically all the vibrations had snapped it clean in the middle

Ok so I just need to get it on a ramp to go underneath the car right?
I'm going to get prospeed to do it for me I think when I get them to take out the rear backbox!
My exhaust got no noise lol just a little burble on start up =\

No need for a ramp or garage expert to do it then?
If its very easy I will attempt it myself!

Thanks for info once again AndrewJB =]

drivers side wheel off arch liner off and you can see the exhaust manifold and the egr pipe is ther just unbolt the 90c bend and block the manifold with the plate you can leave the rest of the egr in place for resale just conect it back up or u can remove the rest of it to shed some pounds but be warned teh silver pipe is a pain to remove fully

Oh and is it still worth cleaning the EGR first? and do we think the small holed gasket is still worth a go? thanks.

as far as i am aware the stuter is caused by the boost spiking beyond its limit and cuting back if you hav a remap you will be mapped very close to this limit so if the boost is requested to fast it has a high chance to spike past the requested 26psi and this causes the ecu to limit the boost back and this in change makes the car stuter

as for me the egr delete dident help at all nothing i did would change it

its mostly down to maping and the way it requests boost

you dont hav to belive me

Kilner's problem wasnt solved

But mine was, Low and high rev stutter was solved

£2 Gasket is a cheap way of testing it, If stutter gets better then chances are the EGR delete will solve it

its still boost related

for a cheaper fix just unplug the egr wen its in the closed position this will keep it fully blocked it will put a light on the dash but nothing difrent to if u actually put the egr delete kit on

then go on a test drive

wen giving the car more than 75% throttle this stuter is a boost stuter

the low rpm no throtle stuter not sure wat it is but i neva had this stuter

if anything my egr delete made my stuter worse

Thanks guys, it gets more interesting as time goes on, think I may have bought the wrong car, maybe should have stayed with me old 20VT petrol.
How do I know if the EGR is in closed position?
And are we saying that if I fit the smal hole gasket plate to restrict the EGR flow that this is only somthing we can run for a short time?.
Thanks again guys.

i thort i made a balls up with this car but i havent the more people understand it the further it able to be advanced the main problem with this car is its two advanced for its own good

as you see im running at 240bhp on this car now and thats with my boost at a slugish 26psi im able to push it to around 32psi now and bring it in a lot qwicker than teh curent boost its goin to be a hell of a ride wen i finally get it all mapped in properly

dont giv up

to find if the egr is in the closed position engine off keys out of the ignition then remove the egr gass return pipe it looks like 2 big torx bolts but they are just big allen keys make a bit of room shine a torch inside the valve inside should look like its flush inside its housing if it looks extended its open if not its closed

i think the egr instantly closes after the ignition is off but best to check as you dont want it stuck open

you could even make a small blanking plate and just pop it inbtween the egr and the egr gass recurculation pipe
