no mate, you need to map it out if you do an egr delete, but the gasket won't bring up any errors, might show on vcds but not on your dash

one slight downside to egr delete is it takes longer to get the engine up to temp what this does over the long run ??? who knoes

What about just fitting the 9mm gasket? Would that take longer? I'm not quite sure how reducing the air flow in the egr helps. I'm sure it does, just don't get how

Can someone point me in the right direction for finding a new gasket. I phoned local dealer and they couldn't help, does anyone know where I can order one from?

Right, bit of feedback from me.
I had my turbo changed for a brand new Garret one last week, and a new fuel filter and oil filter and oil. Stuttering gone.

Here we go again guys, DPF light came on smorning on way to work, maybe I don't do long enough runs , so have driven along the motorway for 20 mins at 2500RPM minimum and DPF light has gone out, car seems better, but does this mean that I shoudn't have bought a diesel as i only drive about 3 miles each way to work each day?. perhaps it is already time to revert to a petrol Seat or other?. any comments please???

Eddie you have a few options, The PD170 was badly designed (The DPF wasnt part of the original engine design) so it doesnt work very well for short journeys

Option1- DPF Delete, You can simply have the DPF Deleted (Stage0) it will give a few 1-5bhp more, Stage1 remap or stage2 remap for more power

Option 2 - Keep it and try to drive it more

Option 3 - Sell it

Where abouts do You live ?? looks like there is just few companies who can perform DPF delete without any problems
