For example I have coding normally 040004000400001300. To hide compass i change to 040004000400005300, because Byte 7 normally I had 00010011 (in hex 13) to hide commpas 01010011 (in hex 53). Don't use long coding helper , because bit 6 is indescribable. Type coding manually in main menu.
Audio, Navi, Phone on MFD working well. We lose only small compass.

Not working for me. Clock shift still there :(

Hmm should work...
Do you have multifunction steering wheel? If yes should be 0C010400010000630000
If no 0C010400010000620000

Maybe try disconect your battery for longer

I will try disconnecting then.

I ask again- what does the coding change? Since my mfs works perfectly as it is?

**EDIT

Disconnecting the battery worked! :D

As for the coding... makes no difference at all. Functionality of the wheel doesn't change whether i code for short-press buttons or not.

Thanks!

Update on Satnav retrofit..

Well, time has moved on and now I have a 2010 FR. :p

So I had to transplant the RNS510 from the old 2007 Stylance to the new car. This had the smaller-looking radio/CD unit like the new Ibiza rather than the latest one that's the same size as the RNS.

Surprisingly, the old unit went back in without need for codes and even all the old presets were still in the memory!

Even better, the new car's radio was held in by 4 screws so I didn't need to provide the U nuts as detailed by Dan as being necessary. I still had to cut the plastic from underneath to make space for the SD card reader, and also had to cut at the back as a precaution for the extra wiring. Otherwise, even more of a straight swap as before. I didn't even need the clips for the fascia as they were already there from the old one. If you are doing this to a 2011 or later the fascia surround already installed should fit back on around the RNS!

Even better, the unit automatically sensed the BT fitted, so the phone function works now, along with displaying the heater/aircon info; it also detected the CUP stuff and now displays a new tab for MDI/Media-in.

A final nice touch -bearing in mind I have a VW sourced unit-, and I don't know is this since I changed the splash screen to SEAT or put it in the new car, but in NAV mode, POIs no longer show the nearest VW centres but SEAT ones!

I don't have any direction arrows on the BT MFD when in NAV, but if the price for this is clock shift I'll do without.

Cheers and hope this helps!

Hi a friend of mine has installed a seat rns-315 sat nav unit to his 2006 Leon Fr Tdi but the multi-function will not work. Any idea why? Does it need any coding through vag-come. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Just to confirm that the clock shift issue is also fixed on my 07 Leon Fr tdi by the recoding method a few posts up.

Many thanks for this
