it works for some it doesnt for others

Full EGR Delete solved my problems (EGR Hardware + Software delete)

Ive seen alot of people recently that are having EGR Delete software installed but not the hardware, im my opinion this is asking for trouble, The EGR will still clog up like hell

Software needs to be used with a EGR Delete, if you leave the EGR in place but delete the software it will clog up and could run extremely sh1t

DPF is part of exhaust, EGR is on the engine

If it was me i would do both (i did both on my PD170)

Ok sounds like i will either have to tell mapper to take egr software off, or get a egr delete pipe (hardware) If i make the egr delete with hardware, will the car still pass MOT?

Uhm... I dont have an EGR delete pipe, I just have a plate to block the entrance of the EGR. There is a software modification needed to suppress some error.

I DO have a DPF delete pipe. Which is an alternative downpipe, which replaces the downpipe with the DPF on it. See my page (link)

Will it pass MOT? I dont know, mine passed our dutch A.P.K. check. They needed to do an exhaust gass check, since the OBD system says my EGR-self-check was not finished. It will never finish, since it is blocked , when it gave a FAIL, then I would not pass the A.P.K. check. But when it says not yet done, they are allowed to take the gass test.

Since the gas test is done in neutral, the software will not unleash the 200+pk so you will pass the test nicely.

Difference is the £2 SEAT Gasket does not block the EGR it just reduces it, no error light ever comes on

Occasionally an error code will be produced on the ECU which is something like reduced flow EGR

I have succesfully fitted the new gasket plate this morning,
Car runs alot smoother. I still sometimes get the judder/stutter in low revs but alot less, and the judder/stutter is not so powerful anymore doesnt give you a whiplash if you know what i mean! Well worth the £3 or however much it was!!!!

So EGR Gasket was fitted but still had a little bit of judder every now and then.
The gasket did help although i want this to be gone forever!

I now have a EGR delete kit on its way, should be arriving through the post on wednesday at the latest!
I will fit the bypass pipe myself and probably get some garage to fit the blanking plate towards the back of the engine! (garage has quoted me £55 for fitting, 1 hours labour)

Also for the cooler that needs to be removed, Is this a DIY job? Or must i buy new parts etc?
Let me know if anyone has done this.

I will update on progress and what performance is like after full EGR Delete!!!!
Thanks

Hiya, I am eagerly awaiting your next installment. hope its all good.

I am still waiting for my EGR Delete Kit to arrive.
So whilst i was waiting, i contacted Ryan @ DarksideDevelopments and he told me
"The cooler only needs changing/deleting if its already leaking!"

Therefore i have decided not to buy the cooler delete kit and only make the EGR delete to solve the stuttering =]

Will update when i get it installed!
