1.4TSI 1/4 Mile leaderboard

Yeha thats what I was thinking, Id rather have an official 0-60 time than my terminal speed. a 14.1 Looking at other cars on the leaderboard and other cars in general, I can say I was on the final few mph towards 100.

What times did You get hurdy, saw you go up the strip but cant recall the times though

My fastest run was 14.02, but once again I geared up a little too early and got kickdown to 3rd. Not too bad as it was still damp when I did that run. 5.49 to 60mph. I was lumbered in the miscellaneous class as they didn't do a Polo class for some strange reason even though they did a Porsche class which only 3 or 4 people entered!!

Won a £200 voucher on the handling course by having the 3rd fastest time over the weekend, which shows that on the road these little cars can hold their own.

Running a Leon cupra now mate. Sadly let the boc go when I got fed up with the misfiring and not being able to mod the way I wanted. 3rd in class at inters so very happy with my results....... for now

what do people find is the best mode and way to launch etc!? or is it secret info! Not used to dsg yet lol!

Good time's what track, post up the score card and vRSy will sort it(when he gets around to anyone elses! last updated in 2011?!?)

Mine did a 14.1 on a dampish track with no rear seats almost full tank and **** tyres(TC kinda killed 1st/2nd). I just planted my foot and let it redline as it was my first go, i'd suggest changing 500rpm early as the power band will drop off after 6500-6700rpm.

Got some new alloys and some brillant rubber on now so cant wait to see how it launchs now against the clock Mates got a CorsaVXR and at any speed, from standstill, from 30, from 69mph(to 70mph of course) the cupra is eating it up.

Santa is too far away for me. Gota stick with good old concrete/road surface ones like York. Cant wait to get up there see the difference the alloys/tyres will make

Lol nah it's known that Santa pod is up hill and runs slower than most strips so it's a solid time! I will go back and Hopfully lay down a solid late 13! Plus I'm gonna do the whole shifting earlier thing too

Don't think I've ever seen it unprepped before, they close it at the first sniff of rain normally.
