Car is filthy lol but fitted my rear mudflaps only for the rain to tip it down stopping me from doing the front. Fitted my vibe coaxial speakers to the front and sound has definately improved. Now just got to put the alpines in the rear when I get chance.

Also due to recieve my splitter midweek :)

Sounds like my ideal Sunday that!

Also, hope you sealed the rims with Planet Polish Wheel Seal & Shine ;) It's like p*rn on your wheels that stuff.:funk:

No used stardrops first and loosend up with a brush then AG custom wheel cleaner and got the full dish of the wheel. Then used supaguard wheel seal i had lying around. Ill google that planet polish stuff thanks!

And yes, i love nothing more now than cleaning it, it keeps the demons away.

Got my best ever MPGs when going to pickup the missus today. The following was 13 miles each way of 50% urban and 50% country roads driving.

On the way there:

And the same figure by the time I got back (not reset on the trip, so this is for the whole round trip):

When my car is behaving itself, it's absolutely brilliant, but it doesn't behave itself very often, and I'm still having issues with it. Oddly enough, my urban driving is around 55-60mpg, which is actually USUALLY better than the motorway for some strange, stupid reason.

Wow! Mines the same story with motorway (petrol).

Im gonna try the tactic of going faster on m/way iv heard some people get better mpg this way.
Im not doing great with mpg lately it was 5-7 mpg better when the car was new! And i much drive more conservatively now!!!

Your clock and trip seem to say that the jouney was only 8 miles ;)

Very good that. Not 13 miles each way though looking at your odo ;)

LOL I didn't even notice that. The Trip 1 setting said it was 13 miles. My comptuer is a ****ing liar!

It's just nice that it was behaving itself for once, and actually warmed up properly. It wasn't warming up correctly for months, however I scanned it the other day with VCDS to monitor coolant temperature, and since then it's behaved as it should have, for 4 starts! I can't believe it! Hopefully it'll last.

Still can't believe motorway mpg is worse though, especially as I do mostly motorway driving, except the last 6 weeks I've been off work, and driven for 2 of them. I just can't understand why! Going to keep monitoring what happens over the next two tanks, because this tank has been mostly town driving, the next one will be mostly motorway, and I'll see what I get the most miles out of!

Not technically today, however at the weekend took a trip up to P-Torque.
Had my PD170 MAPPED! Just the Stage 1, but has certainly transformed the car.

Had 2 Dyno runs, before and after. To my surprise, in stock form, the car was pushing out 190 bhp !
(just a tad above the 168bhp figure stated on paper).

Had a remap there also but think its at the flywheel and not the wheels, as told by another member on here. Still waiting on a reply from Will to confirm this along with my graph lol

Well there's 2 sets of data, Motor (Engine) Power plus Wheel power.

Motor power is generally the figure everyone talks about, with wheel power being naturally slightly less.

This is whats printed on the Graph too.

I thought you said there was no point mapping diesels lol ;)

Yes, while the car was on the rollers, it meant I had plenty of time to eat my hat too!

 :p

(ps: well remembered). ;)

Aside from the obvious benefits of the Remap - I was also very keen to "learn" how strong the engine was, its power, in its standard form.

This is what my graph looked like, only looks like motor power before and after.

Thats just a direct piccy of the computer screen there, isnt it? :)
In the graph printout, theres ALOT more details / stats, above + below the graph.

Thats a very impressive performance gain you've achieved there, following your Map (comparing the before to after).

Yes, goes into alot more detail.

Motor Power (before and after)
Wheel Power (before and after)
Engine Torque (before and after)
Loss Power

Includes in the above, Ambient data, Oil temps, Revs, Ratio - Gear, RPM, Min Max etc.
But you've got the all important Engine BHP figures, which is what most ppl ask first. ;)

All additional info useful for identifying flat spots, advanced tuning, diagnostics etc.
