Finally Fitted the filter last night and it sounds immense. Dump sounds brilliant now as well. After reading post about filters, I got so hungry for a filter that I just needed to buy one.

Everyone needs to get one!! Really recommended

Got mine from part box, bargain price £40 inc delivery.

Did you replace the standard airfilter of did you have another cone filter before the JR?

Just make sure you support it well, with a heat shield or a decent bracket as I found the neck to be quite flimsy compaired to other filters Ive had in the past.

Iam looking to get a heat shield soon ,probably from badger5. At the moment just cable ties to give it some support.

Performance haven't really noticed any difference.

Feels a tad more smoother and eager but nothing to ride home about.

Its all about the audio really ;)

I fitted the JR one a couple of weeks ago, along with a heatshield.
Gotta agree, i'm impressed by the deep grunt it gives out :)

Yep awesome bit of kit and a great price from part box.

The noise is too nice to make me ever want to go back to a panel filter.

Absolutely!! I can't see myself going back to a panel filter.

Do you think a heat shield is necessary guys or just better to have?

TBH the job a heatshield does is more to keep the MAF steady. Get vibration in this if its loose and the MAF could fail. Causing the car to run rough and slow!

It does help to keep warmer air at bay but does a better job in terms of keeping the MAF secure. I wouldn't run a filter for too long without some sort of support/shield.

I've got the jabbasport shield and it's great.

Yeah there is cheaper around I would make my own next time for a fraction of the price.

Only reason I bought the heatshield was for the support. Ebay job: £25 delivered. Can't complain at that price.
