Been having a look recently at getting a boost controller for my car. I think it's going to need to have some selectable boost programmes so that the car can be used in all conditions without lighting up the front wheels and spinning the power away. I was thinking along the lines of something like
10PSI for running in very wet conditions
18/20 PSI for running as a daily driver
28/30 PSI for running max power
I have been looking at the Apexi AVC-R which is IMO one of the most complex boost controllers out there with regards to features. It gives gear limited boost control as well as the scramble boost function. Gear limited boost control would be great as 1st - 3rd traction is going to be pretty difficult and the scramble boost feature AFAIK allows you to momentarily increase the boost pressure from the setting that you are currently running so if you are running 20PSI it would allow you to go to 30PSI at the push of a button.
The Apexi is one of the most expensive boost controllers out there but it does offer the most functionality, the other option is to go for something simpler with a simple 3 setting feature.
Has anyone got any thoughts about which one has worked well for them?
