You can have them ceramic coated by Zircotec, may even be a factory option now, albeit an expensive one. I wouldve Zircorec'ed if I had the spare cash but have got the same result for £25

yeah that was me pal. and I recon next month is the time to rock map out. but just wondering would i need a new clutch straight away
ok not what i did today but my weekend as a whole.
Thursday found out my car was without MOT..... also was told the car will FAIL MOT with the ABS G201 pressure sensor failure. so i started to flap around like women do when trying to park a car. heard that all the new rules start 1st April for MOT so got it booked in for Saturday 31st March.
got there at 845 in the morning for MOT and the car sailed through MOT 1 advisory slight wear on inside edge.
my worries were over... i could go to Brandshatch BTCC on the Sunday in my car instead of Mums Volvo v70 (its a sweet car this wouldnt of been a bad thing....D5)
wake up early on Sunday to go start driving realise im running late so start driving harder..... CLUTCH SLIP!!!!! GRRRR meet up with Mike and the rest of the lot advise them of my problems where they decide to drive at a REAL sensible Clutch FRIENDLY speed....
so to recap... i know have Clutch Slip (stage 1) and G201 Pressure Sensor..
get to Brands meet a guy with a Toledo he had VAGCOM so plugged it in and issue confirmed G201 changed a few things in the settings 1 click all unlock (Double click did my nut in) and Chirp on Lock switched on. Started car all ok. left it few hours. went to leave realised my speedo wouldnt go back to 0. 0rpm started at 500rpm. GRRRR
catch up with Toledo man (think his name is Mike also although not 100% sure) he got his lead out and my car got scared and fixed it self. :S
very little clutch slip on way home and the speedo back to normal. (still have g201 problem)
get home put car to bed and grab the car docs to put MOT away find out Service is now due booked in for tomorrow.
return docs to car see TAX runs out end of month.
so to summarise
Service tomorrow (5 year) should be oil change only but doing full £130
TAX end of month £240
booked in for Sachs clutch and G201 fix £950
plus 3 birthday this month and easter!!!!

Well Will weaved his magic today made 220.4 BHP 340.0 ft/lb on the dyno stage 1 map
definitely feel the difference it pulls much harder through the gears and seems to want to keep going way after I passed the speed limit

Spent a bit of money today. I bought some matt black vinyl wrap, deflectors, key fob cover and paid for my flocking now I am skint haha
Cleaned the car inside and out then went to fill up with V-Power but all the panic-buying tw@ts have cleaned out all the local stations that sell it. Knobs.

Me and my new Leon spent the day trying to achieve decent mpg figures, but it's still backwards. Able to get better mpg in towns than on the motorway.
check TFSI mike build thread he's had some done on his dash etc looks a bit like alacantra leather or suede
