I think you mean the other way around

.63 A/R Hotside & .60 A/R intake :)

Hmmm how to explain a billet compressor wheel I thought the name said it all.

On the intake side of the turbo you have a wheel, this draws air into the motor. A billet compressor wheel is a stronger wheel with other beneficial properties depending on application. Normally a slightly better spool as well as stronger flow characteristics.

would a picture be enough to be able to answer your question ?

I think it is possible to machine a much more efficient wheel from a billet of aluminium rather than the original cast items.
And obviously the other benefifts, strength/weight

Big update, nothing car related but I've just bought my first house :D . After 4 months of negotiations and battling I finally managed to buy something just in time to qualify so that I don't pay stamp duty on it as well which is a big bonus.

Got my work cut out over the next weeks / months redecorating sorting out the garden and driveway so that I've got somewhere nice for the car to sit :)

Congrats on the house! We bought ours last year, it's great having your own place and a driveway :)

Looking forward to seeing this get to completion :)

Awesome update James, its a lovely feeling owning your own property. Good luck with the move, good thinking on beating the stamp duty. Saved you some more money for the house/car.

Thank you, yer I saved a huge chunk of cash to put towards something else. I've rented a few places before but decided that it was time to take advantage of the relatively weak market and the stamp duty relief. It all went through on friday so spent all of the weekend just gone sorting things out and moving my mountain of stuff that I didn't realise I have (until you have to move it all)

Insurance & TAX Time :(

The time has come for me to get some tax and insurance sorted for the big day. Had various quotes from a few of the specialists who do modified cars. I've been honest with them and even sent them the list that is on page 1 of what is installed in the car.

I'm 23, 6 years NCB, been with Adrian Flux for the past couple of years whilst having the Leon at 300 BHP ish figures but obviously needed a quote with the huge changes that have been done recently.

The best quote I have had so far is around the £800 mark for 12 months. I thought this is a very good price considering. I had some ridiculous quotes at even more money than I paid for the car with less power. I suppose this is come insurance companies way of saying their not interested.

Having a read around on the internet about modified insurance it seems that the more it's modified the less of a risk you are, I thought this was strange but the theory behind it is 100% correct IMO, so much time & money would have been spent on the car that it would be treated with more respect rather than "thrashed about" like a Saxo with an exhaust!

I think when you are driving something 400BHP+ in a FWD it demands a certain amount of respect and careful driving!

Now just to stump up circa £260 for road tax for roads with potholes and loose chippings

Congrats on the house mate :)

On the insurance, £800 is very good based on big turbo! Mine was £629 this year and that's at stage 2 stock k04 with all mods declared. 7 years NCB protected and a £500 excess but protected also so would get all of it back if I had to pay that out for any reason. That's with Adrian Flux. Garaged and only 3000 miles a year as I don't use it for work.

Thank you very much!

Yer mine is only 3,000 a year roughly as well as I don't use it for work also protected NCB. Not sure about the excess think it was £400 which isn't bad either.

Got myself a 306 diesel for commuting for work in that is £400 a year (what I paid for the car), half the price for about a 10th of the power
