Hey everyone!
finally reached full membership so decided to post up a readers ride of my leon cupra r 210 in ovni yellow (bumblebee) ha ha.

Il go from first things done to present!!
Hope you like and feedback would be greatly appreciated

I bought the car in may 2011 for a nice deal i think 3700 sterling with just under 90k on the clock, full servive history, stage 1 remap 250bhp), all recaro interior and a massive smile on my face!!


First port of call was a service and maintenence check so booked it in to be serviced next day! Just to make sure everything was in order and to know it was now my car!
I then had to by no means necessary had to fit my sound system because no bass brings a sad face!
I order the facia adapter and then installed my Sony X-Plod headunit, 1200w X-plod subwoofer and Fusion 800W Amp. It was a struggle to get the cables through from the engine bay to the inside of the car but after an hour or so manged to wire it up all nice and hidden!

The next thing i fancied was to add a little bit of viynl, so opted to viynl wrap the bonnet , roof and rear spoiler, wing mirrors and door coloumbs.

After looking around on this forum to see what people have been doing to their LCR's , so started on a few little things.

Seen alot of them were lowered and looked mean so ordered some Pro Sport Coilovers for 260BHP and had them fitted 20/6/11 by my pal in our local styling garage cheap as chips at 20GBP a corner. Took it for a spin and held the road alot better and felt more stable only thing is when reversing out of the garage i got grounded (ooops!) a little to low. Living in tamworth the streets are notorious for speedbumps and potholes so raised it up alittle so not to damage the underside or sump! While having this i had my powerflex dog bone mount bushings fitted to try help with my wheel hop.

Just to show how low i went in comparrison with my iphone!

Got a few visual mods around june for my car to suit me. So i ordered a 3rd break light cover, fabia rear wiper, front aero wipers, bee sting arial adhesive remover to debadge all the standard lettering and some transformers self adhesives (hence the name bumblebee).

I ordered more for my car end of june when payday came around including my forge yellow upper turbo pipes, Forge 007p Recirc valve, silicon 3mm & 4mm hosing and a pipe joiner.
The upper turbo pipes took around 3 weeks to deliver but was happy with how they looked after. Also while fitting the turbo pipes i did the common N249 bypass which made a great difference.

I then drilled my air box to allow a little more air in which made a slight deeper grunt under acceleration. Very easy to do to and cheap !
Also purchased an SFS Turbo intake pipe which i am yet to fit so that will be the next part fitted.

I left modding for a while and made do with how my car was until this month and bought a few little things.

I started a little bit of interior visual mods to jus to make a little change. Cost 4.93GBP and just finished it this morning.

I managed to buy a boost gauge off a friend who wrote his cupra off last week for 15GBP so that was a bonus and fitted that the start of march. It shows im boosting 18psi!!

I seen a post on here for the TRS tow strap too and thought it would be a nice addition as im after removing the reg plate holder and meshing the front bumper up and relocating my plate.

Readers ride update 25/3/12

Managed to get a chance to get a few more things done to the beast this week!!

As my downpipe had cracked i decided to just buy a new exhaust. I quoted 300GBP for a standard OE downpipe or 320GBP for powerflow So instead i hooked myself up on ebay and found a guy selling a straight through turbo back decat exhaust for 175GBP and had it fitted for 60GBP by a friend.
It sounds great and seems to give a little more power on accelaration and gives off a nice deep grumble low and mid range revs.

I also fitted my Samco TIP 23/3/12 and fitted a new air filter 21/3/12 to see any difference from the pipercross panel filter i have been using!

and then set out to remove the reg plate holder and remove the OE mesh from the front bumper and remesh it. It took way longer to install as i had to wait for the silicone to dry over night plus all the screws and bolts were ceased so now have blisters on my hands but was worthh the effort and time

Also treated the car to a nice clean and shine to as the sun is out booomin!

Looks good Don't know about the transformers badges but each to there own. Nice to see the another cupra r in Tamworth there's not many around and I've never see yours lol I know what you mean about the state of Tamworth roads my splitter is wrecked. Because of the speed bumps

U don't live glascote road do ya? See one parked up just after the garage? Should be getting it topped this month and iv got a mate who's hot on the photography so will have to sort that out!!

Yeh sounds good to me I'm useless with a camera I don't live on the glascote road I Live in amington have seen another grey one with black wheels around what sort of power are you running ?

That's probly the one iv seen then man! Mines running around 250bhp but iv had a turbo back decay fitted so id like to get it on a dyno n check! You know anywhere mate?

Sounds good myns running 247 had it rolling roaded up at dyno days at Hinckley next door to r tech looked like a decent place and with r tech next door if anythings wrong with the car nick will help you out. Having myn possibly remapped to stage two by nick the run cost me 40 quid for 3 runs puls afr run to check the fuel air mixture

225 bam engine nick said its a cack map should be in the 270 area with the mods I was running at the time ive since added a tx intercooler kit
