Been in that situation myself, i had planned to go to car show and booked a hotel and everything and no one bothered to tell me the oven had broken and the car was gonna be in for 2 weeks for one bloody wing! (took 4 days for the other wing most of that warranty authorisation and waiting for parts) I was seething as they had made a hash of the previous paintwork too. Sadly as it was warranty nothing I could get out of them for this massive inconvenience, so they then stole all my cds out the car to seal the deal. I hate bodyshops! Check it over obviously, they didn't even bother to come out with me to check i was happy with the paint after they gave me back a grey door the last 2 times! Still annoys me and it was a year ago almost.
i will be making sure its cone to a good standard....apparently this is the way this guy is with all the people who have used him, they say hes usually a cheeky git. and his sense of humour to most would be seen as sheer rude. but apparently his work is top notch, i say this holding my heart in my mouth! "2 days" hopefully!
Just be sure to check it all over. I picked mine up in the dark and the car was soaking wet. I went round it with a drying towel and torch and he hadn't done half what he charged me for.
I mean I got a quote to paint wings, bonnet, bumper
Supply, fit and paint new grill.
He didn't paint the wings, just polished them, and painted the old grill.
Then tried to give me the car back soaking wet, in the dark and charge me the full amount.
What's worse is, he done a mint job without painting the wings, or replacing the grill so I'd have been happy if he just said that and knocked a few quid off.
In the end I never paid him a penny, but did get a £50 breach of the peace fine and barred from his premises

Agree there is no excuse even if you are good for arrogance. My issues with Set the warranty man was excellent always keeping me in the loop with the warranty process but when his bit was over the body shop were just a joke. Good luck to you!
ok good news, its definetely going to be tomorrow night or saturday morning. i have to phone him about 2 oclock tomorrow to find out for definate, he said there working on it just now, but i mean he could tell anyone that, but he did state they have made "hunners" of progress on it. im hoping for tomorrow ideally but there aint much difference between tomorrow night and saturday morning. and my brother is taking his focus ST to him on saturday to get bonnet vents from an RS fitted into his ST-3 so either way as long as i get it back at latest saturday, i will relax about the thing. which could see saturday allow some toys to be fitted
