i just bought one but did get it at a silly low price, £20 brand new delivered. my car is on axle stands atm with no bumper awaiting new fmic setup and wmi kit. so i can fit the s3 bottle and then slot in the pipe work. so i have to extend the hose and wiring

I've just seen that this build only had a 3-star rating...that's almost a swear word! Fantastic read and fantastic car. 5* from me :).

Cheers Jas :D

I ordered the car a little christmas present yesterday, dont tell her but I got her a 3" SFS T.I.P ;)
I've never had a problem with the Badger 5 one but I've always been a bit concerned about all the joint's and the adaptor developing leak's and after talking to Tom I decided to go for the SFS one, AmD have sorted me out again :D
Hopefully I'll pick up the SFS one tomorrow then the Badger 5 one will be looking for a new home.

Really looking forward to SFS vs B5 V1 logs, I hope the SFS does you guys well. Damn, I miss the LCR, the way AMD mapped it was perfect and I want the bark from the full 3" exhaust back but hey, to ease the pain I'm remapping the new car in the new year, I hear 400lb/ft is quite fun at the rear :).

I think the SFS one will work well..

Darren sent me a pic earlier during fitting and it was looking good so let's see what he says when he comes back in here :)

As you'll know by now today I had the new SFS 3" TIP fitted, I had planed on fitting it myself but the boys are AmD just could'nt wait to get their hands on my car :D

After a few burnt finger tip's the B5 TIP was out, They had a bit of difficulty getting the adaptor off the Turbo so I'm pretty certain I had no leak's coming from there.

B5 v1 minus the adaptor on the left, SFS on the right.

This is in no way a criticism of the Badger 5 TIP or towards Bill@badger 5, the v1 is a great bit of kit and it has moved the goal post as far as K04 tuning goes, if it had'nt been for Bill and this TIP I'm certain we would'nt be seeing the power we are at the moment.
My main concern with the v1 was the amount of joint's in the pipe work, there is (IMO) a lot of possibilty's to develope boost leak's, As you can see the SFS one is one compleat piece of pipe and there is no ally adaptor ring.

We did'nt do any dyno run's or logs but the car was an total animal on the way home from AmD, I had been getting intermitent flat spot's and some times the boost felt like it was'nt coming quite as eagerly as it used to, there are a few things this could be, small boost leak, MAF on it's way out, 20k service due soon, my imagination :D we'll have to wait and see :D
I was given the chance a couple of month's ago by AmD to do the testing for the new SFS 3" TIP and I turned it down, I'm kicking myself now

I brought some new detailing goodies a wile ago, the main one being the bigger EZ Detailing wheel brush

This thing is massive :D If you want to keep the inside of your wheel's clean you need one of these

I like the look of the new TIP, the amount of joins in the V1 B5 TIP concerns me aswell, I'm considering getting the V2. Is the SFS 3" or 80mm?

5* thread for me too, love this motor, keep up the work mate.

just rated 5* too :)
im interested in the b5 tip mk2 but cant see i will gain anything. my airflow is totally maxed out. the sfs looks great for the money but the turbo adaptor wins it for me. darren get some logs up for all us to see :p
im also interested in some new detailing goodies, i have basic auto glym kit but want something better. if you could make a list of what i need to get started that would be awesome and if there was a 6 star rating i would give you that :D
