I dont know as I havent tested them... I would expect around 30bhp gains on your setup, These figures have only been grabbed from the web so dont hold me to it. Sounds realistic to me though

Sounds reasonable. Especially as they should be fairly easy to come by.

Just had a quick scout on your thread, looking mint. 2868 looks like a nice turbo. What you aiming for?

Not as easy as you think as most breakers arent willing to split the heads/cams up.

Yeah good compromise between spool & flow.. they will make 390 on the 0.64, I went for the 0.86 though so who knows :D

Long story short, I bought the engine already built but I got conned, so I now in the process of taking it all apart to rebuild it to the spec it should of been. Luckily it was actually bored out, so Im just going to give it a light hone and fit new pistons rings.
I wont be balancing the crank myself no, I'm undecided if I will get it done or not atm

I'm in the same predicament, new fsi crank, new SMF, new rods & pistons do I get it all balanced for peace of mind.

Looks like it's going to be another 6 weeks before I get my next shipment of goodies, got to wait for the Rods.

I have got a wavetrac diff on order too which will be nice, might help putting the power down :)

Thats the problem with buying such a bulky item from the US the postage eats up all the savings you have made. You may also get stung at customs.
This was ~700 from a UK seller
