Yer I know, cracking service from INA!!

I'm still awaiting rods, and springs retainers etc. Ordered to much to fit in the box :D + the rods aren't going to be ready until end of November.

Going to get this lot on order for delivery end of nov

Rods (already ordered)
valve springs, retainers etc ( already ordered)
Large port SEM mani
70 or 75mm throttle body
South bend stage 3 clutch + SMF
Engine mounts

Then it's just a case of getting all the turbo bits etc

Regarding crank, spoke to TPS today and can get a brand new TFSI crank for a tad over £300, seems stupid not to use that one, then just get the oil pump gear and put it on the snout to use the 1.8 oil pump

Yer mate, might as well go the whole hog, going to get the head ported & polished / gas flowed as well!!

Haven't decided on the turbo to be honest, got 3 options

Tried and tested gt3071r, possibly with the larger hot side due to 2.0
Borg warner EFR6758 with 63 hot side, might even try the 7064 with 83 hot side. something untried currently in the uk
A hta gt frame turbo, 3076r with hta wheel

Still weighing up all my options really whilst I build the engine.

The efr is internally gated, and if I was going garret I would go external with tial waste gate in vband.

I don't mind a bigger turbo with the stroker & valve train as it will rev to 8.2k

What's your thoughts?

They all sound like gearbox killers to me! go for the HTA

Just make sure you do you homework on availability of the EFR turbos if you go down that rout as it seams people have been waiting on them since 2010!!..

This is always a downside, I'll end up getting one from the USA as this is the only place with "stock"

Even North America are struggling to get hold of them.

I believe INA have had a orger in for some for circa a year (I know they are in Canada)...

I have just realised you have mentioned everthing I have asked previously in the thread

You will be making alot more than 400bhp with the turbo's you have lined up

Lol, I'm tempted with a set of N/A cams from the passat and similar, have you got these?

Yer I'm aiming for over 400 not going to be chasing numbers, it's going to be rapid either way. :D

I dont know as I havent tested them... I would expect around 30bhp gains on your setup, These figures have only been grabbed from the web so dont hold me to it. Sounds realistic to me though
