Digby, a standard PD130 will do 0-60 in 8.2. A mapped one will be around the 6.5-7 sec region and a hybrid will be low 5's, past that you are stuggling for grip to go much quicker.

Show me timeslips with those times. the only way a hybrid will run low 5s is if it has slicks and loses a couple of hundred kilos. Low 6s is more accurate. and high 7s is right for a mapped car

If you drive it properly it won't get gunked up :p

Yes it will. I take it you dont understand how egr works

Look on the other site, Sparky did a 5.0 at Inters in 09, antnee did 8.2 in a standard PD130 at Inters10. Im sure Tom did a high 6/low 7 in stupid wet conditions for Redline

T spark ran 888s and had lost 200kg (and theres always been a lot of dubiety about that run)
Antnees car wasnt standard
And a high 6/low 7 in the wet doesnt equate to a 5 in the dry

Thats exactly what i was getting at. You cant pick three examples and expect it to be right always. You'd need to take a cross section of cars and see what the averages are.

Sparky has never had R888's on the car. It was run with his usual T1R's, also I know from experience that his car on that day was probably about 70kg lighter than standard, rear seats, carpet, dash and trims don't weigh much. Antnee's had a decat, which was a 5hp gain, thats not a 1sec to 60 gain!

Going from the redline mag (which I have here)

antnee 60 in 9.2,
adam 60 in 8.4
Tom 60 in 7.6

Looking at toms 100 time of 16.4, which should be about the high 13's area.

You can see from the results and graph, that it was probably only around 60mph when the stg3 got any traction

Well done, you have quoted a manufacturers figure, not a real world figure. Its well known manufactures bend figures because of other models, insurance groups, etc.

i agree that sometimes manufactures figures arent correct for all cars - a mates 06 ibiza fr was rr'd at 145bhp and probably could do slightly better than 9.3 to 60. but you saying a stage one mapped car can knock 2.3 seconds off the 0-60 is ridiculous...go drive one.

ive had my ibiza for 4.5 years now- had it with a stage one map for 3 years - produced (from several RR) between 164-167bhp and 280-300 lf/ft...best 0-60 i could manage (not that im the best driver in the world - i know im not) was 8.1 (on a run what you bring day).

my stage 2 car (hybrid 130 turbo - approx 195bhp) manages between 6.5 and 7 0-60.

back to the original question...add a methanol injector kit to my previous list and you will see a nice figure of 240+ with some quick 0-60 times.
add a quaife LSD and the times will probably be even quicker.

From my earlier post

Going from the redline mag (which I have here)

antnee 60 in 9.2,
adam 60 in 8.4
Tom 60 in 7.6

It was really wet that day, antnees had a decat, adams was a stg1/stg2, toms was hybrid 150. Antnee had done a 8.2 in the dry at the same venue.

Also, a mapped PD130 is about the same off the line as a Clio Sport (172/182) and their book figures are high 6's

Why all this 0-60 nonsense? diesels all about midrange, my hybridded pd130 is fookin rapid from a standard start but beats most stuff accelerating whilst still on the move from say 40-50 upwards

Clio 172/182 will do a 1/4 mile in 14.5-15.5, a GOOD mapped PD130 should be into the 14's

Ok, off topic much?

Lets just keep it like this, if you don't believe what people say and think they're bullsh**ing then keep it to yourself/ignore it, thats what I tend to do in the real world to stay out of trouble.

Anyway, egr is unplugged and breather filter is on, will have to see how this goes.

At the moment I'm looking at new brakes, can anyone help me decide, ebay drilled and grooved direct fit discs or something? or stick to standard, I just want trustworthy brakes, at the moment they're awefull, they might be cheap china imports from the previous owner but who knows!
